Well boys. we've made it. Months of prep are in the book. Spring Training has been played out.
You have put together and utilized all those cheatsheets, attended some forums and read all the information made
available to you regarding MLB. The trips to Las Vegas, New York, and Chicago have finalized and your starting
rosters are in place and today you look forward to the start of the season with a REAL game at 8pm between
the Cardinals and Cubbies. One more thing -

Then this: Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton to the Padres for Cameron Maybin, Carlos Quentin, a Top
Prospect ETC ............................................

FAAB starts in a few hours. Does this news change a few things? Ah yes, just a little.

Gentleman - start your engines! This is both why we love and hate this game we play. It challenges
your mind and grates your nerves all at the same time. Enjoy, Good Luck to all this season - especially
to all the Benoit owners..............Ugh!

Start your engines is right!!!! Nothing like the games actually beginning to blow up all our meticulous planning. Unbelievable. Did they not realize this was all supposed to be done before the NFBC drafts?!! If I were a Padre fan I would absolutely love AJ Preller, hell I'm not even a Padre fan and I'm excited to watch their season play out. Kimbrel to Padres. WOW. Nothing like easing us into the first FAAB.

As early as we get started around here, it's always a relief to finally put some numbers behind all these names we've acquired.

Damn, I tried to take a little break from fantasy baseball for a few hours to celebrate Easter with the family and then all holy hell breaks loose with Kimbrel trade to SD :o .Expected ATL to move him but not this early in the year. Just goes to show that you can't stop looking at latest fantasy baseball news at any time during the year and must be ready to react to that news in a heartbeat :!: .

Btw, how did your draft go in Chicago,Ken? You seem to have developed an affinity for drafting Main Events teams in that location.

Rich:

After hitting the West Coast the first weekend in Vegas for a brief stop, I was thankful for the shorter
flight. Chicago is a hidden gem. The host site was fantastic and the Chicago group is a solid group of players
and all having a friendly and tight knit feel for the event. I did the Auction solo on Friday, then had some help
when my son flew into Midway early on Saturday and then we added Jim Christie who flew in two hours later
into O'Hare. We had a special day together, all centered around our drafts. The trip was capped as we watched
Wisconsin upset Kentucky. Awesome time had by all. Ready for the games, best of luck Rich. It is the many special
friendships we've formed over the years like that we share with you that makes this such a special time.

Ken, the only sad part about all this is that once the drafts are all done it is another year before we get together again to talk fantasy baseball with the best players in the business  .Well, at least my top player pick for this year has busted out of the gate with a big day. I think that Nolan Arenado will finish the year as #1 3B in MLB and I grabbed him in as many leagues as I could get him  .Glad to hear that Chip made it to the Windy City to help you out with that event. We know that he is the real brains behind your team  . Good luck to you this year and hope to be able to compete against you in a live event next year.

This is so good to hear. Kudos to Dean and all of the participants in Chicago. We almost cancelled Chicago a couple of years ago, but we've turned the Sheraton Northbrook into a nice, cozy setting and the top players in the Midwest filled up each of the events we were offering. Great job everyone and thanks for the positive reviews from Sack and many other Chicago drafters. We'll be back in the Windy City in 2016 for sure.
