We will start posting FAAB results tonight at 10:10 pm ET. We won't delay those results this week. Good luck everyone.

And now we wait to see if I've overpaid for a new closer and I'm annoyed or not bid enough and I'm annoyed.

Both are tenuous for the closer role, but I suspect bids were very high with 250+ nonetheless.

I agree but I still went 289/256

Outbid on both,

Castro went for 313, Familiar 303

I can tell you I am entirely too excited to have landed Christian Bethancourt in week 2 of FAAB... Just run through the base next time Rajai.

.

Was I the only guy to bid on XXXXXXXX RP XXXXXX XXXXX?
Speculative for certain but with XXXXXX having a bad day and XXXXX already near the top of the XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXX for free agents I thought I throw a few bucks at him.

Let others do their own due diligence; not sure why you need to bring up names.

Really? Is Parnell a Kimbrel or something? I would guess both Castro and Familia could keep closing as long as they get the job done. I would say that goes for nearly every closer with some having less leash.

Someone also posted that Navarro could be traded to Cleveland from Toronto too today or yesturday. It's a good thought. Don't think it made Navarro go for 300 today or anything anyway.

The Navarro situation in Toronto is a known issue, at least it should be to anyone who did their homework over the offseason.

Bringing up a relative unknown is the equivalent to bringing up names in the DC chat room before they've been drafted.

The deadline had passed for FAAB bids when I posted. Since these guys do their homework they'll see his name in the STATS posts today so I'm not sure how that's spilling the beans the way you suggest is like mentioning an undrafted player in a DC chat room.

I notice you don't seem to have a problem with people discussing names of more obvious FA targets like Soria and Familia before the FAAB bid deadline. Don't you think that serves to remind potential bidders of who're the hot pickups?

I respect your opinion so I won't bring up relative "unknowns" again anytime soon but if you think you're going to be able to keep guys a secret past Monday afternoon each week you may be disappointed.

There is a major difference between two guys who are owned by 100% of live event teams and someone who is not. In your attempts to be relevant on these boards I suggest you think before you speak about guys who some owners might not know about.

I admit I didn't know anything about Carson Smith until he was mentioned here. I still don't. I personally consider if Rodney continued to falter to the point they pulled him from the role, it would be a wide open contest or maybe even BBC(committee). I don't see a clear solution immediately.

NOTE: By reading this post, you agree that you are okay with this assessment and will not hold me accountable if the bullpen situation truly has a clear situation. You give up your rights to sue me in a court of law if Seattle does have a clear-cut replacement for Rodney. Please sign below. Thank you!

Tom Wilhelmsen gets on my nerves. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes with this admission.

.

I've redacted my post and if the information is that highly classified then I suggest the rest of you follow suit.

Seriously I don't see how a tip gleaned by "the worst drafter at NFBC" could be considered too valuable to be leaked to the public. After seeing that no one else bid on him at all I was mostly posting out of embarrassment since I obviously was following a red herring.

If I'm looking at the correct Carson Smith, he has 12 career innings pitched and has not allowed an earned run in his MLB career. He also recently struck out mike trout in a very high level situation. Is that the same guy?
