Box scores

For those of you who use the MLB At Bat app, this year they added the starting pitchers game scores in the box scores. Great idea.

They should also count the strikes that are swung-and-missed versus just a total ball-strike count.

I noticed the game scores for pitchers. But I have to admit, I don't know what that is.

Bill James came up with it at least twenty years ago. It's a way to quantify in a single number how well a starting pitcher does. Baseball Reference has been doing that for a few years on their home page.
