Perhaps my biggest miss this year in preparing for the season. I thought last year was an outlier, playing for a contract year, and move to Safeco had him clearly on my "Do not draft list". Totally wrong.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Me too. And where the hell is his high batting average coming from? I haven't checked this weekend, but I heard recently that Nelson Cruz and Dee Brown were leading the AL and NL, respectively, in batting average. Both are shocking to me. We'll see if they can keep it up.
