I didn't want this post to overtake the gekko one, but I had to ask anyway. Can you update the spots available every 15 minutes on here for us Greg?
Hey, I started drinking a little early today. Had to fire up some rum for the early games. LMAO!

Nice. Good job Bill. Eight different owners have won a 2016 NFBC Main Event entry:

1. Bryan Sannito, Week 2
2. Chris Piper, Week 3
3. Rob Giese, Week 4
4. Todd Zola, Week 5
5. Joe Lecak, Week 6
6. Mario Malgeri, Week 7
7. Matt Anderson, Week 8
8. Bill Macey, Week 9

We've struggled to fill the last two weeks and in fact last week we finished with only 80 of 91 spots. We haven't decided if we should do these every other week going forward or try again next week. It's a fun contest and it's great to get so many guys into next year's Main Event already, but we definitely can't finish with less than 80 teams.

We'll talk with Fanduel this week and see what the future holds. Thanks to all who competed last night and congrats Bill.

I enjoy the tournament and want it to continue. I don't see anything wrong with moving the entry to the fan duel lobby tournament page with about 30 minutes to go before first pitch. With each participant limited to 3 entries, one person couldn't buy the remaining slots and possibly gain an advantage. I hate to see this opportunity snatched away this early in the season, since I haven't finished in the top half of one of these yet.

Greg - It's a great contest, but the issue is that folks may be in "no man's land" at this point when it comes to the contest. As the weeks pass and losses accumulate, someone who has spent a couple hundred bucks comes to the decision on whether to continue or cut losses.

Yes, we totally understand that. And some people who have won may not want to enter again. It's why we may offer these every other week going forward. Trust me, we're not disappointed in any of this and either is Fanduel. We just want to be smart and not leave Fanduel with a contest that finishes half full. To do that, we may have to scale this back a bit to every other week or so. We'll see.

We did open it up to the Fanduel masses last night and still didn't fill, so maybe our top prize didn't appeal to them. But so far so good with this weekly contest and let's see what June and July looks like. Thanks all.

I think you need to just leave it open to everyone on the fanduel site from the time the contest is created. Everyone here at the NFBC knows when it's announced on the message board. It's basically the same time every week. Its obvious that the NFBC members don't participate in this for whatever reason. Let's get some new blood in the NFBC. I'll still donate even though I think my best finish has been about 66th so far.

Agree with recent comments. Let's keep this going weekly. It's something I look forward to each week. We have a regular crew playing every week for a solid base. Just open the window to public earlier.
