$$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
$$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
Folks Correa could be the only player left that could take your team to the next level. He already has a HR and a SB this week. I wouldn't be surprised if he hit a couple more and swiped a few more bags this week. Bid with confidence this weekend. This guy is the real deal. If I had to guess, nothing less than $500 takes him home. Good luck.
Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
LMAO.........Please don't post about this and push his value up (who said that Gekko?). You did this to Franco already. Then with Gallo you stayed silent. Who is better Franco or Gallo? Too early to tell. So far, I'd say it's close. Basically, this means you were probably WRONG about one of these players or WILL BE. We shall see.

Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
Correa is available in 95% of NFBC leagues, so this should be one of the most interesting FAAB weeks in years. The combination of our rules allowing minor-leaguers to be picked up only if they were originally drafted and cut, plus them not being able to be bid on until they have played their first major league game has created a wild bidding period. Everyone has had a week to watch him play before bidding, which should be interesting.
Not everyone has a big FAAB budget left, so we'll see how it plays out. Very interesting on a prospect who has been very impressive so far.
Gotta love the young prospects coming up to Major League Baseball. The future is very exciting.

Step right up...see the A>M>A>Z>I>N>G Correa...he walks (sorry Dan), he talks, he crawls on his belly like a reptile....
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Kevin Correia should be available, too...for a few bucks less
Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
I think $38 is the demarcation line. If you're above the 38th you're into North Correa territory...

Yup...pretty good on defense and could be scary on offense.

Great pic of the "Dear Leader"!
Did you know? That North Korea is the only country left on the planet without a central bank! That's right. They haven't been taken over by banking cartels yet. This, of course, is why they are demonized in my most humble opinion.

2HR and 1 SB already this week. Folks, I would consider a "max bid" in this situation. A "max bid" is leaving yourself a small amount for each remaining FAAB period in the season. After this week, there are only 15 weeks left. if you wanted to have $10 to spend each remaining week, you should bid everything you have minus $150.
For example, if you have $750 FAAB remaining, a $10/week "max bid" scenario would have you bidding $600 for Correa.
Another example, if you have $750 FAAB remaining, a $1/week "max bid" scenario would have you bidding $735 for Correa.
As always, I hope this helps.

2 HR and 1 SB/week * 15 weeks = 30 HR and 15 SB for the rest of the season. Wow! Hard to believe something that good will be limited to one owner per league.
Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
It sounds like Gekko is out of $$$ and wants everyone else to blow their wad of cash on Correa.
Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
A SS who throws up 2 hr and a SB in less than a week is solid gold. I have plenty of money left. I'm willing to go to war for him sunday night. You've been warned!morons wrote:It sounds like Gekko is out of $$$ and wants everyone else to blow their wad of cash on Correa.

Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
Now Buxton and Lindor for sale next week. It's awesome to finally see MLB teams unload their bullets from the minor-leagues even before they are Super 2. It means that franchises actually are trying to win rather than just save money for their owners!! It's refreshing and good for the game.morons wrote:It sounds like Gekko is out of $$$ and wants everyone else to blow their wad of cash on Correa.
Now, are there any top rookies left for next season or even later this season? The cupboard looks bare, but free agency is more vibrant in 2015 than any year I can ever remember since the NFBC was started in 2004. Good luck all.

Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
bids are locked in. how much did you go? i was over $200
Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
Interested to know your opinion on who has more pure value Mark, Correa or Buxton?
Joe
Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
Depends what u mean by value Joe. Correa will be more expensive, but he also plays a premium position and most scouts say he is more advanced than buxton at this stage of their development
Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
This is certainly a couple of interesting weeks of FAAB. High risk high reward for those that didn't use their money and are looking for upside. The pure value reference was meant to take the positionality out of the equation.Gekko wrote:Depends what u mean by value Joe. Did you get him?Gekko wrote:bids are locked in. how much did you go? i was over $200
$200+ didn't cut it in my two Main Event leagues. In one league, he went for $553 ($507 was the runner-up bid). In the other league, $368 won him ($316 was next highest).
Will be interesting to see all of the winning bids tomorrow.

My $268 was even enough for runner up. Went for $406 in my league with a $333 runner up.

Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
Correa was available in all 30 Main Event leagues and his range of winning bids was $601-$368, with one low outlier of $178. He had 22 bids of $399 or more. Francisco Lindor was drafted and cut in 3 Main Event leagues and we got a glimpse of what he might go for this week: winning bids were in the range of $88-$61.
Vincent Velasquez was also picked up this week in 30 Main Event leagues with a range of $289-$37. Nine winning bids were over $100.

Re: $$ALERT$$ Carlos Correa
$200?? After all the "max bid" talk? I don't think $200 would even be enough for Carlos Correa's jock this week.Gekko wrote:bids are locked in. how much did you go? i was over $200
I was able to add him on a few teams, typically paying $300-400 range
I saw one league where he went for > $800
