No, not a Baltimore fan...just wondering what their line up will look like. Why do they keep going after these fringe OF's?
Patterson doesn't seem to respond unless he's near the bottom of the line up. Anyway, was looking for a web site with projected line ups. Most aren't difficult to predict, but here, I'm not so sure...
1. B. Roberts 2B
2. M. Mora 3B
3. N. Markakis RF
4. M. Tejada SS
5. J. Gibbons DH
6. R. Hernandez C
7. J. Payton LF
8. K. Millar 1B
9. C. Patterson CF
Huff would slide into 5 spot as DH if signed, but the more I look at this line up, looks like a long season...maybe Mora and Markakis switch spots? Maybe I'm way off, what do you guys think? For all I know, I'm missing another one of their "fantastic signings..."

IVE seen worse, they do need a healthy HUFF, HE CAN TAKE millar's place . Then platoon millar, payton , and another leftie .I can see MORA coming back for one more good year, and GIBBONS who has only been on the dl twice in the last 6 years, bounce back.Markakis is a young talent , who might be ready to bust out this year.
NOW THEY MAY HAVE THE WORST PITCHING STAFF.

I agree with Headhunters. The Giants lineup is downright horrible.
And 1-6 for the Orioles is not THAT bad. Roberts is very nice at the top the lineup. Markakis could be a guy that comes up with a solid year. Mora is pretty consistent. Tejada is excellent.....although declining a bit. Gibbons is pretty bad, but Ramon Hernandez can hit.
The Giants have Winn, Vizquel, Durham, Bonds, and that's about it. And Bonds looked pretty aweful last year compared to his standards. If he had some character he would move to 1st base but that's another discussion.
In the end, it's pitching that wins, not offense. I argued with many people last year that the Yanks didn't have a very good shot to win it with a rotation that couldn't compete with the top teams and all they said was, "but look at that offense".

But the Yankees did win, Boss. So are you just trying to prove you were wrong?
