so I am in the Chicago area for work this week .....and trying to explore as much as possible after work. Wednesday I took in a game at Wrigley for Cubs/Cards with my work colleague. View from our seats below. Good game..Cards won in the 9th on a 2 run homer with two outs unfortunately for the home town team. Happy to have my favorite Goose Island a helmet nacho in front of me and watch two good teams though(the Phillies are not a major league baseball team right now back home). I had been to Wrigley before..but seeing a game at night was just awesome. Not sure what I think about the video board in center and lineup board in right yet. I kind of liked the nostalgic look before. I also found it hard to find the score. Its on the old scorecard in dead center but felt like one of these new boards needs to have it as well.

So Thursday.....after work I decided to try and meet up with Greg and Tom in the Milwaukee area. It was a healthy drive for both them and me but hey....never been to Wisconsin...thought it would great to meet up. Greg selected TGI Fridays at Miller Park which had a great view inside Miller Park. Had some dinner and drinks and just talked baseball and football for about 2.5 hours and had a great time. Tom also accused me of jinxing Michael Wacha in his Fanduel competition the night before when I gave him the live report that he was dominating at Wrigley. Thats what makes the NFBC and NFFC friendships you establish so awesome. Meeting people in person face to face and just having a great time. I have always been a NYC live event guy but at some point I have to get to Vegas to meet some of the west coasters that we have only talked via text or phone or in draft rooms. Thanks Greg and Tom for a fun night last night.........and no I didnt get any cheese curds for those wondering.

It was great to hook up with you last night Andy and sitting in the left field area at Miller Park was a good choice. With no game in town, the Brewers couldn't lose!! Everyone was a winner last night.

You are right, this is what makes our community so great. A guy works 10+ hours in Chicago and still wants to take a 90-minute drive north to share beers with two Cheeseheads. We gladly made the trip down to share beers and stories with someone who has worked and played hard with us over this last decade. From sticker boy to national champion, Andy has done it all!! It was great to get together for a couple of hours and to somehow find your rental car when everyone else had left the park!! Stay well and have a safe trip back home.

And by the way, we only had to stop three times on the drive home for Tom to release those five tall Blue Moons he had!! But at least we avoided the deer along the way home.

Great story!

Ironically like Andy I am also in the Philly area and was also in both Chicago and Milwaukee on a family trip during the last part of June. Wanted to make a Cubs game, but there just wasn't enough time. Found myself at the Adler planetarium, learning about Neptune instead.....LOL

It was a lot of fun and great to see Andy but here's an odd thing - the TGIF's at Miller Park did not get the MLB Network. So there were no baseball games playing. Instead, they were showing NBA Summer League games and a documentary about Bartman. C'mon Miller Park, you're a MLB destination. You gotta show baseball games in your restaurants, especially if the Brewers are out of town.
