If There Is A Tie-Breaker Game On Monday...

We've alerted folks about this every year since the NFBC was formed in 2004, but it always seems to upset folks. So let's try it three days in advance and try to alleviate some of the animosity!!

If there is a tie-breaker game on Monday between two (or more) teams fighting for that last AL Wild Card spot, it will be part of the NFBC regular season. Major League Baseball includes all statistics from that 163rd game as part of their regular season and thus the NFBC includes those stats as well. What happens in that game is included in the NFBC's season as well.

If that happens, you are allowed to change your lineups on Monday. That means you can take out certain players (maybe you don't want a pitcher appearing for you) or move players from Reserve to your Starting Lineup. But we do not have FAAB this Sunday, so obviously there are no pickups before that game.

Good luck all and be prepared. We've had tie-breaker games several years since 2004 (including Year 1), so be prepared. With three teams fighting for one spot and three games left in the season, anything is possible. Good luck to all this weekend.

And just a reminder, that today is your last chance to tinker with your starting lineups if the season ends on Sunday. That's right, your hard work is done once Friday's final lineups are set. Great job everyone for continuing to compete throughout this marathon of a season. It hasn't been easy navigating these waters, but the prizes look pretty good right now. Good luck during the next three days.
