I just talked with Henry at Fantasy Sports Insurance and he is going to process the 2015 insurance payouts shortly. The list of MLB players who spent 60 or more days on the disabled list in 2015 included these players who were part of the NFBC insurance program:

Adam Wainwright 157
Alex Cobb 182
Corey Dickerson 76
Devin Mesoraco 136
Dustin Pedroia 69
George Springer 71
Yasiel Puig 78
Giancarlo Stanton 88 games missed
David Wright 124 games missed
Yan Gomes 67 games missed

NFBC owners who paid for their 2015 entries by cash, check or money order and had any of these players insured will receive 20 percent of their entry fees back from Fantasy Sports Insurance. We had more than 250 NFBC owners who had insured players in 2015 and a couple of dozen owners will receive payment from this list above. I guess congrats are in order, but I know that nobody wanted to receive payment back this way.

Look for an email update from FSI soon. I'm working with Henry now to get mailing information for all of the affected owners, so give us a few days there and we'll get this out to you. These checks are coming from Fantasy Sports Insurance, not STATS, so look for those envelopes in the next couple of weeks. Thanks all.

This year Fantasy Sports Insurance will pay almost $11,000 to NFBC owners who paid via check, cash or money order and had players who were on the DL for 60 or more days. I just sent the mailing addresses to FSI today, so look for payment soon. Here are the qualified "winners" if you will:

Yeah, I'm hearing that folks are getting their insurance checks now. Henry said they went out last week, so that's good to see. I guess "congrats" are in order, but when it comes to injuries nothing can be good about them.
