Opposition continues to score a lot, Cincy doesn't. Gonna get ugly unless they uncover some gems.

To all the Cincy fans (both of you and whatever derivation of "Schotzy" is still alive), I am truly sorry. The Braves and the Reds could be in a race for the worst record...

At least the Braves are getting some nice prospects back. Reds get shit in this deal

Maybe the Reds will trade Peraza back to the Braves?

Totally agree. Hard to believe that was the best they could get for Frazier.

The Reds two prototypical offensive innings for the year ahead:

(1) single, SB, walk, K, K, groundout
(2) groundout, groundout, HR, K

Exellent lineup construction should lead to about 2.9 runs p/gm.

On one level, I didn't understand this trade.
Why involve the White Sox?
The Dodgers most certainly can use and afford Frazier.
And I think the Dodgers received better prospects than the Reds.
I believe that the Dodgers are stockpiling for a reason, be it Jose Fernandez or some other high priced ace.
I smell an even bigger deal coming down the pike.
As for the Reds?
They must really covet Peraza. He was the main ingredient in the Chapman deal that died. Now Frazier.
If I were him, I'd tell my grandchildren, "I' was traded for Aroldis Chapman, Todd Frazier, and Hector Olivera and that was before I even 'made it' in the Majors."

As one of the few members of the Scott Schebler Fan Club who isn't from Iowa or named Schebler, I like this trade.

they say he's got some power. now my favorite player BP looks like he will be gone. at least bottom will lead the league in walks for sure.
