I know most of you have been in baseball mode since the 2015 season ended. I just turned the page from football so I have six weeks to catch up with the field. Here's a look at the first team I did the research for:

Shawn always like to let other drafters think for themselves.
He provides the information with a little bit of opinion.
Never really expressing how he really feels about each player.
Here's a Numerish to English translation
Hyun Soo Kim
Don't pick him. Hyun Be Soo Disappointed.
Manny Machado
Bad news- Less steals, less homers.
Good news- More rbi, may get shortstop eligibility
When around Josh Donaldson, remove the 'ad' from the back of his name
Adam Jones
It's about time you idiots realized he's not a first round player!
Chris Davis
Great power guy...Maybe not as much, if changing locations
Matt Wieters
If he could just hit in the Majors, like he did in the Minors, he'd be a great pick
Mark Trumbo
Trumbo is a future Jonny Gomes, Andy Van Slyke, or Ryan Raburn.
That future is almost here
JJ Hardy
When the Orioles signed him, he used steroids. Now he doesn't and now he sucks.
Jonathon Schoop
JJ Hardy on steroids
Jimmy Paredes
Available at your local FAAB store
Christian Walker
Don't even think about him
Caleb Joseph
Viable should Wieters get hurt....so, he's viable
Ryan Flaherty
He would have been great for your minor league fantasy team
Nolan Reimold
The longer he plays, the more everyone knows he sucks
Joey Rickard
I just threw in this name to prove I knew who he is
Chris Tillman
If liking streaky pitchers with low K's, Tillman's your man!
Kevin Gausman
He gave up too many homers, too high of an ERA, and has not lived up to expectations.
He should be the Orioles best pitcher.
Ubaldo Jimenez
Don't pick him
Miguel Gonzalez
Don't pick him.
Are you getting a sense of how Shawn feels about O's Starters?
Dylan Bundy
He could be a pitcher in the Majors if healthy.
He has yet to be healthy
Vance Worley
He threw well in a few games.
But Most of the time, he has really sucked.
Mike Wright
Shawn thinks he could be good enough to be at the back end of the Orioles rotation.
Is that a good thing?
Zack Britton
Finally, a pitcher worth drafting on the O's
Darren O'Day
A righty specialist.
Fastball not good enough to be a 'real' Closer if needed there for a long period
Mychal Givens
The Orioles might have something here.
If liking to gamble on a Mychal and not Michael

Very impressive research Shawn and I really liked Dan's translation too. Both always post great stuff.

Part of me says to myself, "Just shut up and let people continue to evaluate pitching wrong." However, I just can't. Darren O'Day doesn't have a fastball good enough to be a closer??????????? May someone please explain this to me like I'm a 4 year old? The dude comes into the game in the 7th or 8th inning and and gives up 2.31 runs per every nine innings pitched. But, if O'Day came into the 9th inning, he would suck. Is that what is being said?

Not speaking for Shawn - this is my take.
For me it's not about the fastball, at least not directly. It's about the L/R splits. O'Day is much better against RHB. The reason this is important is team's are not going to pinch hit their lefty stick off the bench in the 7th or 8th (even though they should since Britton is a lefty).
That's the main difference -- closers lose the platoon edge more than setup men so they need to be proficient getting lefties and righties out.
PERHAPS it's his mph that makes him less effective vs. LHB - who knows. But other RHP have figured out how to get them out with less velo.

Just a different mind set when you fail. If you blow the lead in the 7th or 8th, the team has time to rebound. If blow the game or multiple games, it wears on the mind.
A wise man once said pitching in the 9th takes guile...

Shawn, that was pretty clever naming him L.J. Holes.
Is it because of the holes in his swing or the holes in the dirt he digs into before taking off to second base?
Anyways, good stuff...hope you are well buddy. Look forward to catching up in Vegas.
