You get to sit between Stephania and Steve Garnder. I know it's an Online draft, but that's still good company to be sitting between Todd!
I'm going to watch this one tonight. Should be fun. Let's see if the industry writers pick more than 11 Starting Pitchers in the first 50 picks tonight or if they stay true to their old ways. We're watching. Good luck all.

This league has come a long way. I probably shouldn't share this but...
Before we actually had a real mixed league, a bunch of us would gather in the lobby of one of the hotels we stay at for AL/NL LABR and do a draft to be published in the Leviathon. I can recall a few years where we didn't have enough for a full league so several of us drafted multiple teams then had to coerce one of our industry brethren to inherit the team so we could use their name as the "owner".
Good times.

GL Todd - assuming the first three are Goldy/Trout/Harper have you decided who you are leaning towards at 1.04?

Still waffling -- hoping Mr. Erickson makes it moot and Alan and Stephania leave me my guy. It could happen.

And the industry has finally figured out it's OK to draft pitching early!

Schwarber in the 4th round? Is this a one catcher league?

Two-catcher league -- 4th is fine for Schwarber. HUGE pitching run in the 3rd.

Eh, I disagree. The likelihood of his offensive power production and the positional adjustment needed for catchers in a 2 C league make him a top tier player in my valuations. Especially considering he will barely be being the plate. If Podhorzer would've gotten another better arm I'd really like his team the best.

I have Schwarber 2nd round worthy but prefer to take him in the third. But taking Kershaw, I wanted a safer foundation. I had him queued in the 4th.

He has a very weak outfield with no reserves as well. Pretty rookie mistake for one of the "experts".

Agreed. I see 18 Starting Pitchers in the first 50 picks, same as the NFBC ADP shows. This is a HUGE leap of faith for industry writers. Good job all. You've seen the light.
Can someone explain to me why Josh Donaldson fell to 12th? The lowest he's gone in the NFBC is 9th. Very weird for an industry draft.

From 1.05 to 1.15 you can pick names out of a hat and end up with a defensible first round.
Probably a coincidence but Encarnacion and Bautista also fell a bit. I can actually make a case for all three sliding as the Jays scored a historical number of runs last season -- not simply the total but the amount as compared to the rest of the league. Gravity should bring that down. We don't know if one of the big-three gets hurt or if everyone produces a little less but regardless, the team should score fewer runs so the impact should be spread throughout all the hitters, knocking them down a smidge.

There is no valid explanation. Anytime Donaldson drops below five he's a steal.
