What Ron Shandler's Up to

I was just listening to the latest baseball HQ podcast and Ron Shandler was interviewed. He has been working on a new book literally titled "Ron Shandler's Other Book, and it is available here on his website.

It seems to kind of go off of where the baseball forecaster does with all kinds of player skills analysis and roster construction analysis including a system entitled BABS. It is reminiscent to me of the portfolio three and Mayberry method the plans that I used to see in baseball HQ.
I am not really interested in gaining an understanding of this as I personally don't think it makes much sense but for anybody that subscribes what do you feel you are gaining from it? There is no questioning that Ron is a smart guy, I just disagree with this roster construction method.
