Interesting that Soriano fell that far - I don't think we have seen that before - and likely not too much in the future either.

The Mauer pick was way at the other end of the draft, but I was still surprised.

More reasons they should just call these events "Industry Drafts"

BTW I was told that Sportsline is now calling the ones they did "Analysts' Drafts"

[/QUOTE]Chris Liss of Rotowire.com took Mauer in the second round and Brian McCann in the fourth round. He obviously was going with a strategy there.

funny how solid teams look in a 12-man draft - I've lost all perspective after all these years of NFBC

tom - your lower-end SP and all your RP are sub-standard for a 12 team league. other than that, pretty good

Johnson's a flyer and Lee is a decent end-of-the-rotation starter. But both are guys who likely could be dropped. As for the relievers, I like Jenks a lot and if Izzy's healthy I'll be very happy there. Weathers was my second-to-last pick as the last closer on the board. I took him just to have a third closer to start the year but I agree he's hardly anything special. I'm not overly concerned about closers since they are so easy to find during the season.
