It's official: Because Major League Baseball has three games scheduled for Sunday, April 3rd we will run the first week of stats in the NFBC from Sunday April 3rd through Sunday April 10th. We already had drafts scheduled for Sunday, April 3rd before the MLB schedule came out and thus we had to change our schedule slightly.
Actually, I like it this way because making Sunday's opener a separate scoring period was always odd. Now all owners in ALL NFBC LEAGUES will have the chance to watch the Sunday April 3rd games and set their Week 1 lineups on Monday or Tuesday if their openers are on Tuesday. This is almost like the Thursday Night Game in the NFFC.
So the first scoring period includes 8 days: Sunday through Sunday. Plan accordingly and good luck.
Thanks all. If you have any questions, send them to me at [email protected] or post here. Thanks.

You cannot move pitchers for the Sunday 4/3 games. Given its a weekend game it's not allowing you to move them.

So you can use known results from Sunday games to set your lineups Monday/Tuesday (not too bad)
You also have a free agent period 1st Sunday and you can also use those players in your lineup based on their Sunday
results? That I don't get - why not just delay the 1st FA period until the next Sunday?

Because many leagues drafted in February and March, so the first FAAB is needed. Again, it's four games and if you're starting someone based on a Win or any result you still have to deal with the next 7 days with that player. If MLB is going to do this going forward we can discuss a better way, but this works for all leagues no matter when they drafted.blibros wrote:So you can use known results from Sunday games to set your lineups Monday/Tuesday (not too bad)

I like it too. Hopefully this is the new plan each year going forward, as in football. Never liked the 1-day week.Greg Ambrosius wrote: Actually, I like it this way because making Sunday's opener a separate scoring period was always odd.
