SiriusXM Fantasy Sports To Broadcast MTM Super

Okay, we are still working with SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio on this, but as of yesterday everything is set for SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio to do a live broadcast of the NFBC New York MTM Super League on Friday, March 25th. Now things can certainly change between now and then, but we've done everything we can to make this happen as a live broadcast. I'm saying this has a 99% chance of happening.
I say that because it's not easy to get these drafts broadcast live. It's not a simple phone call to one of the hosts, I can tell you that.
But being in New York and being on the First Weekend before millions of their listeners are holding their home league drafts is important to SiriusXM. It's great, great content at the perfect time. And this isn't an industry draft with just bragging rights on the line; this is a high-stakes league with 15 solid owners and $20,000 to the winner. They understand that. We understand that. And we found a way to work together.
The plan is to have a 4-hour broadcast starting at 7 pm ET. The hosts will be Tony Cincotta and Nando di Fino. Both of those guys are in auctions that weekend and will talk about the New York Auction Championship and preview this draft. They will interview some of the participants during that first hour and I'm sure Mikey The Mouth (MTM) will find his way on air. Give 'em hell Mikey.
After the pre-game show we'll have a 3-hour broadcast. We know that the entire draft won't be aired, but we'll get through the majority of the MTM Super. Plan accordingly when it comes to breaks, food, etc. Let's give the listeners as much content as possible, and work with Tony & Nando on this as well. This should be a lot of fun.
It's also GREAT exposure for the NFBC. We still have a lot of online leagues the next 9 days after this and I think it will propel online leagues during the week leading up to Opening Day. Make us proud guys and let's spread the word about our great 15-team leagues. Get to know Tony and Nando as well because they are always looking for guests on their morning shows. You could be regulars with these guys, especially if you kick their butts in the Auction Championship leagues.
We will also provide updates on Saturday, March 26th from 1 to 3 pm ET from the Main Events in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas, so look for those updates as well. And then I'm sure Tom and I will have several appearances on the channel throughout the week. Tom will be airing our STATS Fantasy Advantage live from Sirius buidling next Wednesday, so if you're around let us know and we'll get you on the air.
I'll update this thread once we know this is 100% a go, but all looks good now. New York should be a great venue on First Weekend and we're really looking forward to having SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio there. Make it special everyone.
