Friday Night In Las Vegas: Who's Up For Another League?
Okay, we always jam pack this Second Weekend with drafts and auctions, but the one night that we have always had trouble filling up is Friday night. I'm not sure if people are burned out by auctions during the day or if they want to rest up for the Main Event the next day or what it is. But I think there's a void to fill there.
Am I wrong?
Glenn Lowy suggested another draft on Friday night after the AL Auction. Is there something we could do after 8 pm PT? Is anyone up for another draft? We have the suites for a cozy 12-teamer or 15-teamer. Heck, I don't care if it's even a Satellite League at $500 or $1000. You tell me and we'll do it live. We have the space and the people for a Friday night league if anyone is interested. Thanks all.

I personally was thinking about another Main or Auction that night if available and we could get it filled.
I'd be up for almost anything though.

Greg, I'm interested. Is it possible to do $500 FAAB Auction and treat it like a satellite? Similar to what Andy and Todd ran earlier in the drafting season. Just throwing it out there.
Thoughts?

Would be interested in an auction or main or 12 teamer. As long as it has an overall prize attached to it, this would be something I would definitely think about.
Re: Friday Night In Las Vegas: Who's Up For Another League?
I'm interested in a main event or a 15 team super for Friday night.
Re: Friday Night In Las Vegas: Who's Up For Another League?
I would've suggested a higher stake (for the league) Cutline. I don't want to commit to another FAAB team but I might be in the minority.

Hey, I'm the guppy here. You guys want a higher stake, I'm game. Just some dialogue to get started.

ill put up the 2,500 but I want to do a 15 teamer. I'm in 0 leagues this year and have never played in a Super, played in 5 main events and have yet to cash, so I'm easy money. I just don't like 12 teamers, so how about them apples lets do it.
or i'd do the main event that day as well, I don't want to be behind a computer. I want to draft live.

The super took a while to sell out on Saturday night. Maybe something different and fun seeing it's a long day for some with auctions. Bare knuckles draft in the $500-$1000 range. No notes, no kds, spot determined at draft... just show up, chill out with a few beers and draft.

Are you thinking snake or auction? That sounds more entertaining. Bare Knuckle draft!

Re: Friday Night In Las Vegas: Who's Up For Another League?
Well Greg, looks like you'd have about a half a league filled already if you just counted everyone who's posted in this thread with interest in a Las Vegas draft on Friday night. Unfortunately, it appears it would have to be a $500 Main Super Auction Cutline 12-teamer Bare Knuckles event to appease everyone's preferences.
With only 3 days left however, if a Friday night draft is still a serious consideration and you have any hopes to fill one, I believe times up for debate. It's time for you to just make a call on what league you're going to offer at that time, if any, and just see if it fills.
Personally, I think your best bet to fill this league is to offer one last Main, the most popular of the NFBC offerings. With Saturday now closed out, I'd bet there are a few people feeling the pangs of missed opportunity that might jump at a 2nd chance at another. And if it fills, you'll have broken the previous sign up record for the NFBC Main. Not the most important consideration, but certainly a nice bonus.
See how many Vegas participants you can get to commit in the next 24 hours and then open it up to phone call-ins to finish it out.
Just my thoughts if you still want to give this is a go. Either way, looking forward to Vegas and seeing you again in a couple days.

We have the space and we can even do this Main in the private suite or any other contest.Glenneration X wrote:Well Greg, looks like you'd have about a half a league filled already if you just counted everyone who's posted in this thread with interest in a Las Vegas draft on Friday night. Hey, we have a Thursday Main Event League and I know others were trying to get into one more. Build it and they will come. If there's interest, I'll host one more. Here we go. What the hell.
NFBC Main Event League
Friday, April 1st, 9 pm PT (after AL Auction and Auction Championship)
Bellagio Las Vegas, Penthouse Suite
1. Glenn Lowy
2. Scott Waggener
3. John Bosch
What the hell. And if anyone wants something else, we have two suites available. We'll host a $500 Satellite or whatever can be formed. Let's do an all-nighter of drafting on Friday!!

What happened to all the Friday night interest?
Re: Friday Night In Las Vegas: Who's Up For Another League?
Different people want different things. I can only manage so many teams with FAAB so if it's a Main Event I'm out. At least with a cutline you only need 10 owners and we can set whatever dollar amount for the league prize.Scoony32 wrote:What happened to all the Friday night interest?
Re: Friday Night In Las Vegas: Who's Up For Another League?
I would do a $750 oc plus or the cutline league

Have we come up with any possibilities for tonight? Let's make something happen here......
