Main Event Draft Orders Released On Monday

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Mar 27, 2016 8:56 pm

The KDS Deadline for the Saturday, April 2nd Main Event Leagues in Las Vegas and Online is at 8 am ET Monday. Please set your KDS preferences by 8 am ET and we'll release draft spots tomorrow.

Do not panic right now!!! Just a warning.

We have set up the leagues tonight because Tom is flying out of New York City first thing tomorrow morning. We put all names into the computer for Las Vegas and Online and the computer randomly picked the leagues tonight. We have set up the leagues on your team pages tonight and it shows on your team page as "Draft Order" but that IS NOT THE DRAFT ORDER. That's just how it appears when we set up a league before running KDS tomorrow. And that does not show the order of the KDS either.

So yes you can see who is in your league tonight, but the computer has not run KDS yet. I'll push that button tomorrow morning. So sleep well tonight and don't panic. Draft picks are coming out in about 12 hours.

Thanks all and good night.

Wake up Greg! We are waiting!

KJ, send in the reinforcements!

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

The April 2nd Main Event Online Leagues have now been set up. I'll post those draft orders in a bit.

Las Vegas Main Event Leagues are next. First up, League 1....

Thanks for waking me up Wayne!! What an annoying alarm clock you are. ;)

All of the April 2nd Las Vegas Main Event leagues have also had KDS run. The draft orders on your team pages are correct now. Good luck all and enjoy.

We will give the NFBC Super League owners for the April 2nd league through the day to change their KDS order now that they've seen their Main Event draft spots. It's possible that they don't want the same spot, so KDS deadline is 4 pm ET today. Tom is flying to Las Vegas today and said he would set this league up when he gets here. It's easy to do, but since that is an evening draft we'll wait until the evening to set it up!! Makes sense, right?

Plus Gaetan needs to be tortured a little longer. Look for that draft order this evening and good luck all.

14th KDS selection this year
15th KDS selection last year

KDS sucks for some of us and puts us in a disadvatage right from the start.

I have been in approx. 20-25 leagues over the past 7 years, I have been in the top 4 once, it was 4 years ago. In my four leagues this year, I pick 9, 11, 11, 15
I know there's no answer, just frustrating

With each passing year I'm getting more and more interested in just doing the KDS live at the event.
We can pull the leagues ahead of time, but I'm at the point where I would just like to have names pulled out of a hat at the draft and then just go sit down at the seat (draft position) I want.

Since your KDS was 1-15 your complaint certainly shouldn't be with KDS but rather the luck of the draw. You were picked either 14th or 15th randomly by the computer and after running KDS you got the last or second to last spot available. Had their been no KDS, unfortunately you would have gotten the same spot.

In New York you were picked 11th randomly by the computer. Heck, even in the AL Auction you were 10th out of 12. The computer doesn't like you, whether it's KDS or not.

Sorry, but you won a title last year from 15. Good luck to all from every position.

I'm surprised to read this from you. The other posts I read from you inform me you are a shark and will eat your competition. So to read that you have a disadvantage confuses me.

Hey gekko,

Does yahoo still do 8 team leagues? At least you'd pick no worse than 8th :D

Yes, I will still provide a tsunami type impact; however the poor KDS results mean my competitors get a 10 second advance tsunami alert to try and flee the beach. Won't matter in the end

Pitchers and catchers report, St. Patricks Day, NCAA Basketball Tourney, the swallows return to Capistrano, Mark complains about his draft pick....ahhh, must be Spring! 8-)

I've put in a call to the Wambulance for you guys complaining about your draft position. I was gifted the 13th pick through KDS for my ME Draft. Stoked! Can't wait to see what scraps are left for me. Those scraps look like filet mignon to me! Let's do this.

rule 81.
There are no bad draft spots. There can be bad drafters of each spot, however.

Rule 82: When you do draw a top three draft spot, it will be in the draft where Correa drops to 15.

I think you started the tsunami of complaining!! Draft spots weren't out 10 minutes and the complaints started coming. I thought those days were done.

Unintended consequences. Made a bad joke I guess. I actually like #10. Can baseline my team any way I want from that spot.

Never

and one of the many reasons I agree with an earlier poster who said we should just do the draft spots at the venue for LIVE events. Whether by draw or FAAB bid (or even better real money side pot) this would extend the draft time several minutes but make for a much more exciting event.

The other plus is you get the BEST drafter not the most practiced at a certain draft spot who couldn't think his way out of a paper bag if you moved him up or down in the draft.

PLUS you stop all the silly complaints

May be the silliest thing I have seen written on these boards in a long time. The person who comes up with a good plan with a couple of days to prep is exactly the same guy who will do well at the drop of a hat.
