NFBC Message Boards

Has there ever been a live chat room for the NFBC through the website? I'd personally enjoy being able to watch games at night and share live opinions and analysis with other NFBC owners. Is this something that could be put into place and would others have a similar interest? I would think it would draw more participants to the site on a nightly basis in a way the message board can't do. I recall the DFS sites previously having live chat rooms, yet they no longer do. Perhaps there's an explanation of why they went away.

There's only one reason that the DFS sites would have had live chat, and then removed it..... someone there thought it was bad for business.

I don't remember what version of live scoring it was, but at one point we did have a chat box at the bottom of the screen. There would occasionally be messages posted in that area, particularly at the beginning of the season, but I don't recall ever seeing anything that I would characterize as a running conversation.

It was stopped because people were sharing inaccurate or deliberately false injury and weather news.

Yeah, if you click on the Old Version of the Live Scoring at the very bottom of the Live Scoring page you will see a Live Chat at the bottom of the screen. I know some folks used that late in the season. I thought that was a cool feature. I can see if that's something we could implement in the new Live Scoring, which I'm sure almost everyone uses now. Not a bad idea.

I did find the chat room, but yes, it's hidden under the link for the old live scoring pages. It would be cool if you could set up a new chat system that would not just be league specific but for everyone to use. Perhaps you could access it from the message board homepage.
