I'm starting the thread early today as we have 3 afternoon games. Good luck with your teams!

.

I'm interested to see how Rockies catcher Dustin Garneau does during his cup of coffee while Hundley is on the concussion DL.

After losing Schwarber for the season (DC league) my catcher 2 slot has only Gary Sanchez and Garneau available to fill it. The way Wolters has hit you gotta expect Garneau won't be around for long unless Hundley's noggin problems extend past 7 days.

The Cubs streak of starting pitchers lasting 6 innings or more has come to an end.

Odds on the Reds bullpen NOT being the worst in baseball?

5.79/1.46 era/whip
5.1 BB/9

And those numbers include their best bullpen arm ... who was just moved to the rotation.

p.s. They have a winning record so far. :D

Reds Bullpen/assistant pitching coach Mack Jenkins: "All right, whose turn is it to close tonight?"

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Joe Ross departs after two innings and 33 pitches with a 2-0 lead. At first I thought he did something while scoring from first on Harper's double, but now it looks like it was a blister.

Thank goodness somebody woke Duda up.

Glenn, did you send some friends around to have a "conversation' with him or what? :D
