Charlie Blackmon

Anybody heard anything new on Blackmon (since late last week when they put him on the DL)?
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Unsubstantiated, I have heard that depending on how aggressive they want to be with the turf toe, it'll be 3-6 weeks from time placed on the DL.
Since Blackmon has had flare ups with it since 2012, I would lean more to the five-six weeks side.

I'd be MIA too if I could catch a muskie that size. WOW

"Charlie Blackmon (toe) is hoping to begin a rehab assignment next week.
He's been out with turf toe since April 13. Rockies manager Walt Weiss suggested Blackmon might only need a couple games to get ready. Gerardo Parra and Brandon Barnes have split time in center field during his absence."

Guess the ended up going to "good enough even if not completely healed" route.

It's always good to see a player come back from injury.
When they come back a little sooner than expected, fingers are crossed that the medical staff is right.
I hope they're right.
