Where did you spend your $$
Thought Sean Manaea's price might be 'reasonable' after a so so first start and pleased to have picked him up in my ME for $248 (r/u $216)
Re: Where did you spend your $$
that's reasonable?

Re: Where did you spend your $$
no - it's 'reasonable'Gekko wrote:that's reasonable?
Went for $702 in my OC so on that measure very much so

Re: Where did you spend your $$
Very nice. I wish he was available in my main event. He was drafted. You should get good value at that price for 5 months of starts. He isn't leaving that rotation anytime soon.mattjb wrote:Thought Sean Manaea's price might be 'reasonable' after a so so first start and pleased to have picked him up in my ME for $248 (r/u $216)

Fulmer went for $252, same league.BK METS wrote:Very nice. I wish he was available in my main event. He was drafted. You should get good value at that price for 5 months of starts. Missed out on Joe Smith which I don't know if I should be pissed about. Threw out a $51 bid I think and went for well over $100. For maybe 8 saves? Granted I've been operating with one closer after the Ken Giles descent into Hell and have already whiffed on Trevor May and Cingrani getting save opportunities.

Didn't buy much this week. Saw some really high bids this week for players I think are rather mediocre. Maybe I'm way off as most of them had runner-up bids that also were pretty high. We'll see. The only player I bid heavily on was Drury, who was available in two of my big three leagues. Came up short in both; was close in one and not so close in the other. Disappointed as I would've liked to have rostered him. Oh, well. Back to the drawing board.

mike - agree with you. i didn't see a lot out there as far as high priced guys who would be worth it. threw out some token bids, that's about it.Bronx Yankees wrote:Didn't buy much this week. Same here for the most part. Forgot that I also bid $100+ on Orlando Arcia in one league but missed on him. In fact, with very limited exceptions, even my token bids missed this week. When I hit on "My Bid Histiory" I see lots and lots of "Outbids."Gekko wrote:mike - agree with you. i didn't see a lot out there as far as high priced guys who would be worth it. threw out some token bids, that's about it.Bronx Yankees wrote:Didn't buy much this week. Yup. A lot of money got flushed this week
Re: Where did you spend your $$
I hope you're right, as I drafted Manaea, but I'm not so optomistic that he's just going to be gifted a spot in the rotation going forward. Henderson Alvarez is coming quickly and he's going to be given a rotation slot once he comes off the DL. IMO the race is on between Manaea, Hahn, and Graveman for the other two slots. With the exception of his most recent start, Graveman has been very good, so it may be a two man race for one slot between Manaea and Hahn. That being said, Graveman could easily crap the bed over the next couple weeks. If not, it makes logical business sense to send Manaea down to keep that clock stopped. Of course the A's have seemingly never cared about the arbitration clock, so we shall see. It will be interesting to see what happens with both the A's and Reds rotations in the next month, assuming they get healthy. .BK METS wrote:Very nice. I wish he was available in my main event.
