Yes, I released Fulmer 2 weeks ago

I am not proud to admit it. It wasn't just that he put up 3 relatively sloppy performances for me starting in early May. But he looked like he was working so hard on every pitch and only seemed to have 2 pitches (fastball/slider) he could count on. He didn't look like a guy who could get deep into games. Since cutting him he has back to back stellar games and a no hitter going now (at least I played him in DFS strong). Luckily I got Cingrani and his brilliance to replace him.

This game can be painful.

This move continues to be brilliant... and painful. Good thing I let Robbie Ray and his 10.5 k's per nine innings trick me into keeping him and his devastating era and whip numbers. Ugh

Ouch! All you can do is what the best information available indicates what you should do. Then, go find the source of that information and punish them.

That Cespedes trade is looking better and better for the Tigers. Who knew...

Edwards,

Wish I was skilled enough to know how to post funny images like that! Sadly, the source of the decision was me. He didn't psas the eye test for me. I knew his velocity, minor league numbers and a few other peripheral stats I read. I also know he was primarily a 2 pitch pitcher (though he recently seems to have developed a change)... but when I saw him pitch he looked like he was putting so much into every pitch and he didn't have a free and easy fluid motion. Because of this I didn't think he would be able to pitch deep into games and thus I let him go to pick up the great Cingrani (I am desperate for saves). Luckily I made sure to keep Robbie Ray and Sean Manaea because I get bored with pitchers with sub 5.00 era's.

Just remember, reflection is at best judgmental. We, for some reason, remember more and magnify greater our mistakes. We get so much right, but those "good" decisions seem to pale to those "boy, was I a dumbass" moments.
