Fearsome Fivesome

For years now, here in NY, the Mets pitching prospects have been highly touted. And after last year's results, rightly so. But with the latest injury to Harvey, I have come up with a question for the MB followers.
Do you think that there will a day when Harvey,Matz,Degrom,Syndergaard, and Wheeler start 5 consecutive games for the Mets?
Personally I do, and think that day will be in early 2017, even with the latest injury concern. What do you think?

Thanks and have a nice day,

Dan

The 'fearsome fivesome' mantra has changed from how tough they'd be on the field to the fear of not having a chance of making it on the field.
I don't think it'll ever happen.
Matz has been injury prone since day one.
Syndergaard is having problems that he tried to withold from the public.
deGrom goes through stages of losing velocity.
Wheeler is having a tough time even coming back this year at all.
It's hard envisioning all four healthy at the same time.
Harvey is the most worrisome.
He may never come back at all.
Or, he may be a shell of himself.
Or be, gulp, Jered Weaver.
Either way, as Alan alluded to earlier, I don't think that if he comes back that he'll be doing a lot of his pitching for the Mets.
If he does pitch well enough for another team to be enticed, I believe the Mets would be more than happy to trade him.

Matz and Wheeler are gravy.
The Mets main dishes are Syndergaard and deGrom. If they can keep those two healthy, they will compete.
But, pitchers arms and elbows are like a butterfly's flight pattern, totally unpredictable.

And thank you for trying to bring baseball talk back to the table.

for baseball fans sake, let's hope not.
mutts fans are already insufferable, let's not give them more reason

and yes, i saw the headline of the post and thought he must be referring to adding Obama to mt rushmore.

I felt like Greenspan tinkering with the economy ... hope there's not a bubble in Mengden.

Should the Mets employ Colon's training methods? Also can Bart pitch every game the rest of the season that would be 75 more starts, he may have too.

After further thoughts on the subject: I don't see the mets trading Harvey or Wheeler due to the recent injuries and other teams lack of interest because of the injuries. They will not trade Matz as he is the only Lefthander. And I just don't see them trading Degrom or Noah. So, with that being said, why can't those 5 be the starters in April. And I know Harvey is currently a big ????. But if he is healthy, why not?
Also, not a Met fan but just a New Yorker who has heard about these 5 for the last 3 years

My feeling is that Matt Harvey has thrown his last pitch as a New York Met.
Just an opinion.

Also, I know the NY press goes crazy with what 'could be', but the true 'fearsome fivesome' are throwing for Cleveland right now.

Three unfortunate words for the Mets: Pulsipher, Isringhausen, Wilson.

Deja vu all over again?
