Johnny Thome and Ortiz on the same team - unfortunately you have no chance. this draft would have to be a little bit better to be bad - just joking, you never know. May be Ortiz or Thome will get

1st base eligibility some time this year

Johnny Big Dog is that you?

First I commend you for having the sacks to compete against this level of competition in your first league. Second I commend you for having the sacks to put the worst team in the history of the nfbc on the bulletin board.

Kind of kidding about the 2nd part but you do realize like Jim said that you will not be able to put Ortiz and Thome in the lineup together. I would say you are facing a one in saves, avg, and stolen bases off of the top of my head. Pitching is not good at all- the bright side is even with Thome on the pine you will still should do pretty well in homeruns and rbi's.

All in all the team looks a lot like a fantasy basketball team I would draft in a similar event- tough breaking in against this level my man.

So, It doesn't look to good.lol :D

I did this draft just to past the time until Football season starts. Plus when im watching the Red Sox It will be more interesting.

The DH thing I knew as soon as I hit the Button.Wanted Delgado. But it was to late.

Still was a blast, Like all the Nffc and NFBC events.Ill get my feet wet and try another satellite next year.

Can Free agents help? or is this a lost cause  :D

Thanks

Johnny

Johnny I would say only 5 out of 100 teams are a lost cause on Feb 20th- the other 4 are currently talking about how bad that team is.

You seem like a good sport- best of luck, but that one was pretty darn brutal. Go Sox!

Ugh, right before bed. Now I will have nightmares about walking out of Vegas with this.

On the btight side, I agree that almost anything can happen with a draft this early. A few good breaks (think Todd Jones and Paul Konerko) and things could work out better than they look.
Chance favors the prepared mind.

Johnny didnt want any help, i did ask.

First the Thome mistake is a killer, im suprised when he said he knew right away , he couldnt have Delgado.I see guys switch there picks all the time, last night in my draft at least six stops because guys didnt want that player.

He does have ton of power , and his starters are ok, maybe Willis can bounce back , and the Dice Man could be one of the elite.

Has two very good catchers , he gets an A here.

Does have Dotel and Zumaya , if Zumaya can get that job fast , then two closers will put him in the middle for saves.

The bad, no speed and low bavg.

Overall he gets a D, his 1st draft.

Will need a lot of breaks just to stay in the middle, BUT you never know.

[/QUOTE]Don't forget to add in Hanley Ramirez. It's amazing where I got him and Howard last season, compared to where they will go this year.

Something to look forward to: I had ortiz last year and he did get 1st base during the inter-league games. Maybe Thome will sneak in as well.

R.I. glad to see you are tough enough to take the abuse, not a bad first try. I hope you enjoy it and come back with more experience for next year. Good luck to you!
