Free Agent Suggestion

The problem clearly is with whether players are or are not on the 25-man roster. I read an article in the Washington Post today stating rosters must be set by midnight the day before the first game. I guess the owners wanted it to literally be game time but the players union resisted. This means that only 3 teams would actually be required to set their rosters prior to our 7pm EST deadline for FA submissions.
I suggest the following:
STATS keeps the position eligibility page as accurate as possible up until 6:00pm EST Sunday. At that time, they will quit making any updates, even if some teams decides to set their 25-man rosters between 6:00pm and 7pm. This will give all NFBC teams one hour to see who is and is not eligible to be picked up. I'm Ok with a 6:30 drop-dead time but we do need sometime before the 7pm dealine.
Only players indicated as being on a 25-man roster (something which is clearly indicated on the eligibilty link) may be bid on.
This eliminates the possible confusion involved with MLB teams setting 25-man rosters after STATS starts the process of resolving FAAB requests but before these requests are published. Just like there is a drop-dead time to make requests, we need a drop-dead time to determine who is available. Essentially this is a week one problem and this suggestion allow everyone to know what the heck is happening. [spoken by the guy who first suggested the eventual solution on invalid roster]
