Congrats to everyone who earned an NFBC Main Event league title in 2016 because we know how tough it is to win one of these titles in a 15-team league. The only way to win an NFBC Main Event title is to EARN IT! Kudos to everyone who came through in 2016.
This is the 13th year of the NFBC Main Event and each year the competition gets tougher and tougher. It's not easy to win one of these league titles. To win an NFBC Main Event league title in our very tough 15-team league format you have to draft well, constantly pick up the right free agents and make the right lineup decisions. It wasn't easy this year, that's for sure.
Congrats again to all of our league champions this year. Here's a few quick facts and then a list of our league champs:
** KC Cha was the only owner to win multiple league titles, winning Las Vegas League 5 on April 2nd and Online March 30th League 2. KC had three Main Event teams this year and he finished with two league titles and a second place finish. All three teams finished in the Top 8 overall, an amazing accomplishment. I don't think anyone has ever done that with three teams before. Great job KC. Oh, and he drafted from the 6th, 12th and 13th spots.
** 14 of the 15 draft spots produced league champions this year in our 30 leagues. Only No. 5 failed to produce a league champion this year.
** 12 of the Top 31 league champions (we had one tie) came from the Top 5 spots. Nos. 1 and 4 produced the most league champions with four each. However, the league champions were evenly mixed as you can see below:
