We're getting requests to add a couple of private high-dollar leagues to the First Weekend in Las Vegas and yes we are ready to oblige. Let's lead off by adding an Ultimate Auction League for Saturday, March 25th at 4 pm PT. This private auction league will be held after the Main Event in Las Vegas.
We already have six owners who have put their names on the list, so we're off to a great start. If you have any interest in this league contact me at
[email protected] or sign up Online. This event has been added to Registration and obviously we don't need any payment before March 1st for this one. Thanks all and hopefully we can fill this one up.
Here's a look at the current signup list:

Why is payout % so low for the AL/NL auctions? I thought that was being addressed for the coming season?

I've wondered this myself.
AL/NL Auctions are 12 teams but payout much less than, say, the 12-team Super.
Entry-$1st-$2nd-$3rd-%1st-%2nd-%3rd
$1300-$7800-$3000-$1500-50%-19.2%-9.6%=21.1% rake AL/NL 12 team auction
$2500-$18000-$6000-$2000-60%-20%-6.7%=13.3% rake 12 team Super

Don Warner is coming out to Las Vegas for the First Weekend and will throw his hat into the Ultimate Auction League ring as well. That brings us to 7 teams now. Nice start guys. Here's the current signup list:

This is a weird post in this thread, but the prizes for the AL and NL auctions were raised this year. First place in past years was $7,300 and this year it's $7,800. These prizes were raised this year despite all of the additional add-ons we have with state fees. Hope this helps.

.
12 Team Super - 1st place gets 60% of the total money paid.
AL/NL Auction - 1st place gets 50% of the total money paid.
Does the extra money kept from auction entries go to the added cost of having to use a professional auctioneer?
That would make sense.

That's great news Greg

... the league signup pages are still showing the lower numbers (75% pay).
Weird post ... just too lazy to start a new thread, the only weird part was Deadhed's concern.

Make sure you are on the nfbc.sportshubtech.com site. These are posted correctly for the AL and NL Auctions, again an upgrade from last year's prizes:
Prize Table
Place League
1st $7,800
2nd $3,000
3rd $1,500
