Wow, Mid-January and only two spots left. A coincidence that there have been 4 sign-ups within 24 hours since Jay Lyons entered? I think not. "Sign Jay Lyons up & double the beer order and they will come," Greg heard echoing in the cornfields of Iola, Wisconsin apparently.

Out of respect to Jay, please make sure Danny Valencia is the first player auctioned off. :D

Excellent point. And a moment of silence in remembrance of Ando's one-and-done Chicago appearance as well. Also, seeing as Jay-bird's Green Machine almost took down the league with a team he put together while three sheets to the wind, I'm guessing more teams will follow Jay's 4-B Auction valuation methodology: Bidding-By-Beer-Buzz. More beer, less laptop will be the order of the day at the Chicago Auction this year I'm guessing as we seek to build-upon & perfect Jay's strategy. While it usually results in drafting a shitty team, it always results in a good time.

After missing last year's auction I didn't want to blow it & try to sign up too late. It's good to be back in it to win it.

Jason Aberli is still finalizing his schedule to make this work, but right now he's the 15th team. He should have final confirmation either way by next week. As of now, here's the current signup list for this league:

CHICAGO
Sheraton Northbrook
Friday, March 31, 4 pm CT
1. Mike Diedrich, Darien, Illinois
2. David Van Der Stuyf, Willow Springs, Illinois
3. Ron Vackar, Redlands, California
4. Doug Gruber, Troy, Michigan
5. Jeffery Cox, Saline, Michigan
6. Christopher Cosley, Rolling Meadows, Illinois
7. Vince Clemente, Elmhurst, Illinois
8. Steven Maier, Oak Creek, Wisconsin
9. Jay Lyons, Twinsburg, Ohio
10. Mike Rothe, East Alton, Illinois
11. Kyle Brinkmann, Albion, Illinois
12. Russel Wyatt, Oswego, Illinois
13. John Pausma, Tinley Park, Illinois
14. Rob Nolter, Chicago, Illinois

Just a heads up for Chicago drafters: We do have a block of rooms at $105 per night at the Sheraton Northbrook for that weekend. This is the lowest I've ever seen this price. To get this price reach out to our contact directly:

Bradley Miller - [email protected] - 847-480-1900

Hope that helps. Have fun in the Windy City.
