Dave Potts To Join NFBC Hall of Fame
Dave Potts of Auburn, Alabama will be the 5th owner to be inducted into the NFBC Hall of Fame when we honor him on Saturday, April 1st in Las Vegas. Dave joins Shawn Childs, Steve Jupinka, Lindy Hinkelman and David DiDonato in the NFBC Hall of Fame.
Dave first joined the NFBC in 2009 and admittedly took a learning lesson the first few years in our 15-team format. But Dave won the NFBC Main Event title and $100,000 in 2012 and hasn't looked back since. Dave has become one of the most famous fantasy players in the industry, going on to win a $1 million Fanduel prize AND a $1 million Draft Kings prize in 2014 and 2015. In the NFBC, he's won in just about every different format. Here's a list of his titles:
NFBC Main Event Overall: 2012, $100,000
NFBC Main Event League Titles: 2011, 2012, 2016
NFBC Platinum: 2016 ($120,000)
NFBC Ultimate Auction: 2014 ($40,000)
NFBC XII: 2012
NFBC Auction Championship: 2014
Online Championship: 2012, 2012, 2013, 2013, 2015
Dave is currently 4th all-time on the NFBC money list with earnings of $392,712.50 despite not joining our contest right away.
Dave has five Top 20 finishes in the NFBC Main Event overall: 1st (2012), 11th (2011), 15th (2016), 16th (2016) and 20th (2015). He also finished 3rd overall in the NFBC XII during that magical 2012 season as he almost won the $75,000 cash bonus for winning both overall titles. That was the year Dave Potts made a name for himself in the fantasy baseball industry and each year he just accomplishes a little bit more.
Dave quit his musical touring career two years ago and became a full-time writer for Rotogrinders.com. He's a fulltime writer for the site during the baseball season and he's even put his pretty face to video. With his track record, everyone should listen to his DFS and season-long advice.
We'll honor Dave at the Bellagio Las Vegas both weekends, but especially the Second Weekend. We will have all but one of our Hall of Famers in Las Vegas at that time (David DiDonato can't make it this year), so it should be a good celebration.
CONGRATS DAVE POTTS!! You earned this honor. And we have a feeling more wins are still to come. Good luck and we'll see ya soon in Las Vegas.

None better or nicer. Congrats!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

The only time anybody says anything bad about Dave is at the drafting table.
He gets called all sorts of names there.
Congrats, Dave

We're happy to have Dave join us on our Sirius show on Wednesday night at 10:15 pm ET. We'll talk about his Hall of Fame induction and plenty more.
And maybe we'll get him to sing too just to make Todd happy.
Tune into Sirius 210/XM87 on Wednesday night.

Re: Dave Potts To Join NFBC Hall of Fame
A well deserved honor for a man who is as humble as he is talented. I was just thinking about that song Dave wrote about the rash of injuries that struck during the 2014 season. It made me smile and forget about my team's troubles for a while.
Re: Dave Potts To Join NFBC Hall of Fame
A great player and a great guy. If there had been a vote, my guess he would have rivaled Griffey's percentages getting in on the first ballot. Well deserved!!

Congrats Potts. I second the request of Zolas for a song at the enshrinement. I have never seen the live performance of 'If I broke the Record.' He is a great guy and a great competitor. He is not an extremely talkative guy but when he does talk, is extremely witty and funny. He is a great ambassador for fantasy baseball. If you don't know Dave, you need to come out to Vegas for either weekend this year.

Well done and well deserved, my friend.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Re: Dave Potts To Join NFBC Hall of Fame
Thanks so much everybody, I really appreciate it! This is an amazing honor and it means a lot to me.
It's crazy what fantasy baseball has done for my life, and it really all started with a phone call to Greg in 2009 to find about this NFBC thing. I was out of my league that first year, but you guys all made me want to get better and figure out how to play at this level.
I've made a lot of friends here and those two weeks in Vegas in every March are one of the best times of the year.
See you soon, thank you, thank you, thank you!
