Looks like the Cardinals might be the first team impacted this spring. Alex is heading for the dreaded second opinion.

It's official. As a cardinal fan really disappointed but worse things have happened to our top prospects. They'll make due.

Well, it's official. He's getting Tommy John surgery.

And we still have to get through the WBC.

I wonder if St. Louis regrets dumping Jaime Garcia's salary now?
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I'm sure a bit but now Wacha is definitely in the rotation and Luke Weaver is probably 6th man. Not a good situation but not unmanageable.
