We still have about 180 openings in the NFBC Main Event, which is a lot at this juncture in the off-season. Are we concerned? A little. We know a lot of folks wait until the last minute to grab their teams, but this does feel like a slightly slower off-season for this contest. Maybe seeing some spring training games will change all of that.

My concern is that we need to fill all of these Online dates and live events perfectly with 15 teams. At some point we'll have to close off the Online dates when we get to a multiple of 15. Same with the live events. The First Weekend in Las Vegas needs a lot of work to get to a full second league there and Chicago is stuck at 1 full Main and nothing else. If that's all we get then that's all we get and we move on from that city. Second Weekend has a few openings for a fifth full Main and then we'll have to decide whether that's enough or if there's demand for a 6th Main. New York is still working on its third league. Don't wait too long and get left out.

We always get a late push, but if you know you're coming to any particular city and want to secure your spots do us a favor and jump in sooner rather than later. That will help us determine whether to extend for one more league in that venue or not. If everyone waits until the end it makes it harder for us to extend past that last full league.

And if this is the year that we fail to sell out, then the ROI is better for all of you. We still are optimistic for a 13th straight sellout, but some of the cities feel light for late February. We're contacting past players now and trying to get them back for 2017, but not everyone likes to sign up early. Now's the time to jump in.

Could be some of us are hesitant because of the WBC and the high chance that one or more relevant players will get hurt so bad it will trash our strategy.

Yeah, no food fight needed here folks. Some people have already responded with Main Event entries and that's what we're looking for. Let's keep it up. That's more important than Deadheadz trying to be funny and failing. Don't pile on and instead keep making your plans for the live events and online drafts. We need that more than a message board fight. Thanks all.

We're closing in on 300 teams now for the Main Event after a nice push this last week. Keep an eye on Las Vegas Second Weekend because we're two spots away from a 5th full league. If you want to be guaranteed a spot in a full league out there make sure you get in now. We had six full leagues (90 teams) last year, but you just never know. Be safe and get in now.

Same with New York, which is closing in on three full Mains on Saturday afternoon. Get in now to guarantee you're in a full league and then let's try for a fourth. Good luck all.

Okay, great job everyone as we are now over 300 teams and can start counting down the available Main Event teams. How does this sound?: NOW LESS THAN 150 MAIN EVENT TEAMS LEFT!!

The key is that we have to sell out perfectly for all of these mid-week Main Event Online leagues, so don't delay if you want a spot in any of those. I'm not sure if we'll extend to another league on each of those dates. And in Las Vegas, we already have 5 full Main Event leagues on Second Weekend and may not go beyond 6 leagues depending on when that fills. If you want a spot in Las Vegas on the Second Weekend don't delay because we do have space constraints there this year.

And in New York, we are definitely going to fill the Sunday, March 26th Main Event League. If you want a spot in that one don't wait much longer because I think we can fill it soon. We might even have another celebrity team from Tout Wars soon. Stay tuned.

We have 1 or 2 spots left in a bunch of auction leagues, so check those out as well. But things are starting to come together. Think about it, one month from today will be the Main Event drafts on Second Weekend. The season is fast approaching. Good luck all and enjoy.
