'WHO AM I ?'
The clues begin vague and tell more about the Major League player as it progresses.
The quicker you know the player, the more points received.
Let's see how many points you can get.
Let's Begin....
Player One
10 points- I threw one complete game last year.
09 points- Ranking me tied for 8th in the National League for complete games.
08 points- My road ERA, over 6, my home ERA, 3.20 last year...which sucks because over the last three years, my ERA is 3.44 on the road and have one more Win on the road. than at home.
07 points- Last year was the first year in the Bigs with my ERA over 4
06 points- It's better than missing two complete seasons though, as I have.
05 points- I've won 20 games twice and won 19 twice too.
04 points- I have as many Wins as Dizzy Dean
03 points- I won and saved a game in the same World Series
02 points- Those 134 Wins have Dizzy and I ranked at number 6 on the all time Wins list for the Cardinals
01 points- I'm old, but that wasn't me with Eve
Ready for Number 2?
Here we go....
Player Two
10 points- Like Adam Wainwright, I grew up in Georgia. (Neither of us have heard of Wayne Edwards)
09 points- Like most High School studs, I pitched and played Shortstop.
08 points- One game in College, I really showed off. I hit a grand slam and played all nine positions.
07 points- I played in the Cape Cod league while going to College. Won the Championship playing shortstop the first year.
06 points- Followed up with another Championship the next year, playing Catcher.
05 points- I won the Dick Howser trophy and Golden Spikes Award
04 points- My real name is Gerald
03 points- I've never hit 25 homers and never stole 10 bases, but I am taken in the first five rounds every year
02 points- Catchers have me to thank for not getting bowled over at the plate
01 points- I share my first name with Keaton and Douglas
One more?
Here we go....
Player Three
10 points- My ADP is 199
09 points- Right behind Rajai Davis
08 points- Appropriate. I stole 113 bases in just four years in the minors.
07 points- Then, led off for my Major League team
06 points- I sucked at it, but what'd they expect? I'm only 24 right now.
05 points- Because of my age, they don't platoon me.
04 points- They should, I've only hit .178 vs southpaws in my brief career.
03 points- Despite those 113 stolen bases in four years in the minors, I've only stolen 10 bases in my three years in the Majors
02 points- I did have a 30-30 season in the minors. That should account for something.
01 points- The French make my first name sound cool
How'd you do?
I'm sure most of you know the answers by now. If not, here they are....
