I couldn't be happier that Major League Baseball will add 5 off days for its players starting in 2018 and moving up the start of the season by a week. That means that the NFBC First Weekend will again be on Opening Weekend of the NCAA hoops tournament and our Second Weekend will be during Sweet Sixteen. That's the way it should be!!
I started hosting the Fantasy Sports Trade Conference on that weekend in 2002 and added the NFBC in 2004. We were there on Opening Weekend of the NCAA Tournament every year from 2002 until about 2013. Then baseball moved the start of its season back one week. Now we're going back to the old days, which will be a ton of fun in Las Vegas.
Plan accordingly for 2018. I know we'll have more participants out in Las Vegas during that time and I think we'll add several events to that weekend. Can't wait.

Oh and by the way, if you've never been to Las Vegas during Opening Weekend you MUST put it on your bucket list. It's one of the best times I've ever had as a sports fan. 16 games to bet on during Thursday and 16 more on Friday is insane. Then you have 8 more on Saturday and 8 more on Sunday. Trust me, those oddsmakers hit every game perfectly. It's insane how good they are with the numbers. But it's just a fantastic sports atmosphere with so many people flying in from all different parts of the country and world for this event. Definitely worth going at least once....and every year if you can!!
There's lots of green beer everywhere.
