OK folks, we have 9 spots remaining for one more sold out league in the Main Event on March 25. The plan is to get a full fourth league in New York but with the clock ticking we're likely looking at phone participants as well. We've had a great run of Main Event signups but let's not stop now. NINE spots left for March 25, who wants one? If you'd like a spot in New York, sign up and the spot is yours. If you'd like a phone connection sign up using the Online option or email me at [email protected] and I'll get you set up.

Re: 5 Spots Left: March 25 Main Event
Folks - if we can fill this league, I will be drafting a main event team the first weekend and MTM and everyone else will have a blueprint for taking down the 125K.
If the league doesn't fill, no blueprint
MTM - you might as well buy the remaining teams in this league as from what I've seen you need help (and fast)

Re: 3 Spots Left: March 25 Main Event
Brought to you by Gekko Industries - Strong Buy - Undervalued Player
Masahiro Tanaka
Since March 1, according to the NFBC ADP report, Tanaka is SP20 and is going pick 88 (2 picks away from round 7). My rankings have Tanaka higher than SP going in the 4th and 5th rounds.
We are talking about a pitcher who was babied last year (under 200IP), but put up a 3.07 ERA and 1.08 whip in the AL East. He did start throwing a sinker more last year than ever, which resulted in more GB. His CAREER ERA is 3.12 and his CAREER whip is 1.04. Both CAREER numbers are better than Cueto (going in the 3rd round).
It's often hard to find an undervalued stud SP, but Tanaka is someone who fits the mold. Not sure why more people don't consider him an ace, but scoreboard (his numbers) speaks.
Oh, did i mention, his spring numbers so far this year:
13 innings
3 hits allowed
2 walks
ZERO earned runs
19 strikeouts
.071 batting average against
0.38 whip
0.00 ERA

Re: 1 Spot Left: March 25 Main Event
Brought to you by Gekko Industries - Strong Buy - SuperStar Breakout Player
Aaron Nola
Not sure if many owners remember, but Nola was one of the top 10 pitchers in baseball with an ERA of 2,65 and a whip of 0.99 from the start of the season through June 5th and then reports surfaced about "elbow soreness". The Phils shut him down for the season and allowed Nola to "rest and rehab". We KNOW he can be a "dominator" IF healthy, and leagues are won by hitting on "dominators", not steady eddy types going around his adp of 13/14th round (ex: J.A. Happ & Jeff Samardzija).
Monitor the remainder of his spring starts paying close attention to K rate and velocity. IF healthy, you will have a SuperStar breakout player for pennies on the dollar. The Gekko SuperComputer puts his ceiling this year as round 5 performance. Not bad for a former first round pick.

Re: 1 Spot Left: March 25 Main Event
An update on the final league - I have commitments from two people for the final spot. I need to confirm everything and then this league will officially be sold out. But it's unofficially sold out now so get your KDS set and look for draft spots today. Thanks everyone for joining the fun and finalizing our fourth Main Event in New York this year.
