OK, I just got off the phone with Greg who has landed safely in Arizona for LABR. He is pumped about us reaching our goal of 360 guaranteed spots and he wanted me to relay to everyone his thanks for helping us reach our goal way before the end of our registration period.
So here's the plan. We still have time before our registration period ends so we're going to keep the registration link up and running. The first 360 participants are in the league and have guaranteed spots as long as there are no payment issues. Everyone who signs up from this period on will not be charged until we can fill all 15 spots for another league; or 30 spots for another two leagues etc.
If we get to 375, Greg has stated that we'll pay back 75% in prizes, with $8,500 going to the extra league and the remaining $6,000 plus going to the overall prize pool. We'd probably add one other overall prize and then add to third through eighth or so. We haven't figured that out yet, but that's what we're leaning toward.
So that's where we're at. Don't forget the KDS deadline is Tuesday, March 6th so get your preferences set by then and we'll see where things are at. Our goal is to have perfect 15-team leagues in all four cities. That means we'd like to reach:
150 Las Vegas
135 New York
60 Chicago
45 Tampa
Right now we have:
140 Las Vegas
126 New York
56 Chicago
38 Tampa
So let's see if we can get enough signups to close out all four of our cities. That will make things nice and tidy for us. Can we do it? It's up to those of you who still want in. So sign up today and let's grow the 2007 NFBC even bigger.
