More Notes N' Stuff

You know what is really hurting some NFBC owners?
A shortage of starting pitching.
Let me explain.
We have had Syndergaard, Hamels, FHernandez, Price, JGray, ShMiller, Shields, JuGuerra, AaSanchez.
These pitchers have not been replaced by suitable 6th pitchers or prospects. It is still too early to start the clocks on most prospects.
Who do we get as 'replacements?
RMontero for Thor, Claudio for Hamels, DeJong for Felix, Wright for Price, Marquez for Gray, Shipley for Shelby, Pelfrey for Shields, Garza for Guerra, Latos for Aa Sanchez.
Like replacing a Corvette with a tricycle.
That is, unless just playing in satelites. There, it seems to be easier.
You know what amazes me about this whole BAL-BOS thing?
These Major League pitchers can work the corners of a plate, but they can't hit a 6' 4" body standing near the plate?
These pitchers should be tossed or suspended...... For MISSING!
When an umpire decides that a batter is being thrown at, and the pitcher misses him, the batter should be awarded second base.
If you're going to hit a batter, HIT A BATTER!
And then, Gausman hits a BoSox player with a curve ball.
A curve ball!
The only thing I can think about the decision to toss Gausman is that the umpire/owner of Gausman, forgot to take him out of his NFBC lineup and used circumstances to his advantage.
Smart guy!
If Greg Bird had 13 homers at this time.....
And Aaron judge was having a ghost injury so that he can work on hitting skills
It wouldn't surprise us
But, it hasn't happened like that and we are surprised.
What do you call a Yankee right fielder and a Diamondback's 2B?
Judge and Drury
Aaron and a light hitting speedster?
Judge Judy
Some Stuff....
Aaron Judge has 13 homers
The Red Sox have 17
Marwin Gonzalez has eight home runs
Carlos Gonzalez, two.
Correa, Bregman, Beltran, Altuve, Gattis, McCann, and Springer, and every individual on the Astros have less homers and rbi than Marwin Gonzalez.
25 players have stolen five bases
So have the Colorado Rockies
Blackmon and LeMahieu owners, miffed
Ryan Zimmerman has walked just six times this year
Struck out 22 times
Ryan Zimmerman owners don't care
Since the mound to home plate distance of 60' 6" was established in 1893, only two pitchers have struck out as many as 63 batters in their first six starts of a season?
Randy Johnson and now, Chris Sale
You may think that Sale has the best k rate in baseball.
He doesn't.
Danny Salazar has a 13.03 rate. Sale, 12.42
Chris Devenski has a Closer-like k rate of 16.69
Has Jason Heyward 'come back'?
He is the only qualified batter, without at least one double
He has four extra base hits
Only three players have fewer
Pedroia, Bogaerts, and Swanson
Swanson's first name has been changed by some of his owners
For drafting him, they'll say... 'Damn Me' Swanson is up
Marwin Gonzalez quietly set a Major League record of sorts last night.
He has homered in four straight games.
You might say, "No, not a record'.
Well, it is.
Gonzalez is the only player in baseball history to homer in four straight games while starting at four different positions.
The player with the best chance of breaking that record is ...Marwin Gonzalez.
If he plays a different position tonight.
This is more to illustrate the history of bad pitching from a franchise.
Antonio Senzatela won his fourth game last night.
He and Christian Friedrich in 2012 are the only pitchers in Rockies history to win four of their first six games.
CC Sabathia gave up six runs to the Blue Jays last night in two innings.
Dallas Keuchel has given up six runs in six starts.
Ervin 'Magic' Santana has allowed three runs in six starts.
Illustrating that 'WAR' is a misused word by Chris Sale and does not belong in fantasy baseball...
Fernando Rodney's WAR is -0.8
WAR finds him to be an unnecessary evil
Fantasy owners find him to be a very necessary evil.
What is more important for getting a Win...
A pitcher who strikes out a lot of batters or a pitcher who does not walk a lot of batters?
This season, only two of the top 20 in K'ing hitters have four Wins.
Six of the top 20 control artists have at least four Wins.
Hector Neris of the Phillies has 14 strike outs.
This alone, is no big deal.
It is one more strike out than Starter teammate Jeremy Hellickson.
Hellickson's k/9 rate is 3.44, worst in baseball.
An unusual three category hurler for fantasy.
Tragically, he has lost 'Hell Boy' status.
