FAAB-just a bit too low

Post by Tarpon30 » Mon May 08, 2017 2:23 pm

FAAB, should stand for… if you get em’ “Feaking Awesome Addition Baby!”, and if you don’t…. Fu$K Another Absurd Bid!

Anyone else root feverishly against the guys you miss out on?

….struggling owner who missed out on Bellinger and Hicks by over $800 combined!

My most common occurrence is winning a guy and overbidding him by three times as much as the next highest bidder. Come up with an acronym for that one

That is FAABN- Far Above Actual Bid Needed.
This occurs when we think a lot more of a player than 14 others.
Sometimes resulting in bidding only against ourself....

Three minutes before the deadline-" I better raise my bid 10 more dollars, I really want this guy."
One minute before the deadline-"I'd hate to lose this guy over a couple of dollars, raise it five more."
When the results come in, we find out that even our original bid far exceeded all other bids.

I don't mind FAABN. It's a little like real baseball in beating a team 20-2, knowing we can't use those runs in the next game.
And like real baseball, the losses we take the hardest are when we get beat by one.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
