Done sorry ole Chest was out doing some spring training scouting this weekend.
I had always heard Dodgertown was the crown jewel of all spring training sites, it lived up to the hype what a great place and what a shame they are leaving.

2 tours to spring training this year so only half way through. Saw the Dodgers home and away so only saw 3 teams.
Mike Pelfrey to me is not a top of the rotation guy ever, Braves fans are the least knowledgable of any fan in any sport. Good discussion today amongst about 5 of them about how they thought Laroche would end up in Colorado, and Helton would back him up.
I continue to get shocked at how little teams know about other teams. Talked to Glenn Hubbard for awhile we have a mutual friend. I said have you gotten a good look at Hunter Pence yet this spring he said who? I then said what about Delmon Young he said do you mean Dmitri no lie.
I was gonna save this one for a PM to bjoak but my wife and talked to former Oakland A's great Dave Stewart for about 10 minutes today could not be a nicer guy and he gave me some good insights in to all of his clients from O Dog to Chavez to Billingsley.
Couple of more randoms- last sight I saw leaving dodgertown was the smoking area and there was Mark Lemke puffing away. David Wright is a hell of a nice guy and Greg or any one who follows collectibles will find it astonishing that I for the first time ever saw Eddie Murray sign an autograph.
I write this every year but if you love baseball as much as us, you do yourself a great disservice by not going to spring training.

Mike Pelfrey to me is not a top of the rotation guy everI would have to agree. 3rd starter at best - which is still a stretch. Still at least a year away unless forced into action due to team need.
I also thought Penny looked very wild, but was glad to see he was pitching up and in.
Chest, my vantage point was from TV...was Penny as wild looking live?
Is Jason Repko quick? He looked pretty fast.

Cigarettes- for Lemke
Penny was wild but keep in mind that was his first start.
I stood right next to Pelfrey big kid.
Word around camp was Repko is their fourth OF, only guy who could spell Pierre and the 4th needs to be a right hand hitter.
I have heard good things about Jupiter- need to make a trip as memorobilia collector need to get Miguel Cabrera.

Chest,I grew up going to spring training in south Florida.Eddie Murray was always a gentleman and actually a pretty easy auto.Guys tend to get a bad rep when they do not like to talk to the press.

I actually agree with you about the gentleman part- I have gotten a chance to meet him a few times- soft spoken nice guy. But for the last 20 or so years one of the absolute toughest guys to get to sign something.
Lots of guys I have come across in the past who have had bad reps but could not be nicer from my experiences Jeff Kent, Frank Thomas, and Jack Morris come to mind off the top of my head. Barry Lamar Bonds not on that list- even worse in person multiple times.
