How Many New Satellite Owners This Year

Post by poopy tooth » Wed Mar 07, 2007 12:27 pm

Greg/Tom,

Just wondering how many new sat. owners there are this year. I've been in 3 or 4 leagues so far and I have really noticed that pitching seems to be going a lot quicker than normal...just seeing if the trend is due to new owners or just a draft change. Could be coincidence on my end and not really happening, but I see teams selecting 3-4 pitchers in first 8 rounds. (Many in rd 3 followed by another in round 4.)

Could make the main event interesting if the trend keeps up there also. I know my first year I reached for some pitching and realized I would be better off if I had waited. May have to adjust on the fly this year.

I'll have to go back and check. I was really surprised with owners loading up on 1-2 punch, plus a closer within first 5-7 rounds of drafts. One league had 3 owners with 3 picthers after 5 rounds. It may be normal, just surprised me. the pitchers were "ace" caliber, so it's not like they didn't belong, just surprised at teams grabbing more than one "ace" that early.

Sheep, not far behind and while I can't blame Sheets and Peavy entirely, they didn't help as early picks! :(
