Criticizing picks, go to town.

Just don't think it's cool to drop names not taken yet. Maybe others don't care.
Todd - Normally I don't drop names, but Dan's initial post explicitly invited folks to do so ("Maybe you fellas can 'suggest' who the next pick should/could be"). In any event, can't imagine my post at the 1.15 pick disclosed any names not already under consideration.

I've been giving this some thought. Yeah, Dangerous.
The 15 drafters are not known to those making comments.
They are not with them in the draft room.
More so, they are like an audience or peanut gallery of sorts.
These are just comments on the side.
Bringing players up in a draft room has an old taboo. But, this isn't the draft room, it's a message board following 15 unknown drafters.
The Message Board, to the contrary, is the perfect place for folks to throw out names.
NFBC drafters are ahead of the drafting curve. Names mentioned on a Message Board or really anywhere on the internet would/should not alter or effect any drafters selections.

I believe that names can be mentioned freely.
And even if I didn't feel that way, there is no way to stifle folks from giving their opinions and mentioning names anyway.
Encouraging names to be mentioned makes it a lot more interesting for those not in the draft.

Thanks Todd.

My favorite question for the last couple of weeks to friends is this....

Who do you take first, Robby Ray or Zack Greinke?
Ray has that strike out, game changing, possible flash in the pan appeal.
Greinke is aging, rock steady, and wonderful track record.
Same team.
Arizona believes in the rock steady, since Greinke pitches for their tourney life.
What about fantasy?
Who comes first?
The Greinke Chicken or the Ray Egg?

I love that start, too, but that wasn't me who picked those guys. I was just happy that Charlie got into the first round. I should have taken him @ 1/15 in the Main last year.

Betts-Machado-Thor

in 2017 those 3 would be first rounders (most drafts for Thor), now they're on one team

Sucks seeing guys you've been thinking about targeting next year already going off the board earlier than you thought/hoped. This crew doesn't miss much.

Whaddya think?

Who's doing well?

Who sucks?
Team 11 is very sexy!
I also like 5 , 2 and 1.

Team 3 looks like an interesting quartet really depending on Hoskins, which probably has a wide range of outcomes. But if Hoskins USA studies love this team too

Not quite sure about Merrifield going before both Rendon and Schoop. IMHO both of them in the 5th round are early bargains.

I like 15. Love Blackmon and Ramirez. Going two stud closers - I like that too. I am starting to think that the best strategy in these stand alone leagues is either to go this route or just punt saves.

year after year- i just love the ny/boston bias on the boards. when guys on those teams have great years- the east coasters thrive. when they don't-not so much. i would be very very wary of sale. the white sox had him dialing it back a bit but this year looked like max effort. we will see what happens in 2018. syndegard- does he still pitch?
