New Years Day $150 'Fast' DC '
New Years Day $150 'Fast' DC '
Every New Years Day we start a fast DC League.
Most folks have the day off with a lot of nothing to do but feign interest in Bowl Games.
Great time to have a fast DC!
Picks should me made within minutes, but we will have a two hour clock in case with a stoppage at night from 1-9 AM, EST.
Mike the Mouth will facilitate and he'll probably want to set a new record!
We already have 11 drafters ready to go, one tentative.
Need three or four drafters.
Are you ready to draft? Let me know....

Re: New Years Day $150 'Fast' DC '- SOLD OUT
Alright Gang, we are filled up for this draft.
Steve Metzler has taken the last spot.
I will get the names into Greg soon and I'll let everybody know about KDS before that happens.
Remember, I will ask for a 2 hour clock, an over night stoppage from 1 AM-9 AM,EST and a start time of 9 A.M., EST on New Years Day.
Looking forward to it!

Just one question: Where do I send my draft facilitation invoice for this one?

Tom is signing everyone up for this league right now. Everyone will be signed up except for Dan, so all of you can set your KDS preferences now. Once we sign Dan up on Saturday morning, that will fill the league and kick in the KDS process. Dan knows he has 15 minutes to set his KDS and then draft spots will be announced. Enjoy.coachmo wrote:Dan, when do register & when is kds determined?
The league will start on Monday at 9 am ET. The clock may say 4 hours, but we'll attempt to change it to 2 hours. I'm not worried about anyone on this group taking hours to pick, but we'll see how to work this new system and change it. The night clock will run the same way.
Enjoy everyone and thanks for kicking off the new year in spectacular fashion.

Wait, 9:00 a.m. New Years Day?! Who the hell gets up that early? Not to mention the West Coast crew will no way be up by 6:00 a.m. PST. This is seriously going to put a crimp in my facilitating the 25 rounds I want to make happen on day one.Greg Ambrosius wrote:Tom is signing everyone up for this league right now. You look at it as a 'crimp', Mikey.
I look at it as two hours of daylight, not wasted.
25 rounds in better reach on Day One
Seriously, for you fellas that remember fantasy baseball from long ago....

Sorry, did I say "crimp"? I meant to say "chimp" as in...oh never mind! I shouldn't be so harsh. He's obviously hard at work programming Auto-One right now.

Is it possible to find enough owners to create a second league?

Just a heads up that we'll fill up this league today at 11 am ET and then draft spots will follow about 15 minutes after that. Last chance to set your KDS preferences for this one.

Re: New Years Day $150 'Fast' DC '
We're game if there's enough interest. We could even set up a DC Express League on New Year's Day if folks want a quick 50-round draft while watching football. All options are open!!Fourslot40 wrote:Is it possible to find enough owners to create a second league?

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
