I was watching the news and saw that the "Stardust" in Vegas was just imploded...





Thanks for the memories, even if it was just one year for me.

As Rick Thomas will attest to, the Stardust was a FABULOUS place last year as the employees took care of the customers to the hilt at the sportsbook. All you had to do was make a $2 bet and you got a free drink ticket and during Labor Day weekend they showered us with free drinks during our final night of betting. It was one of the best times I've ever had in Las Vegas.



The Stardust was old and the rooms didn't even have Internet access because they knew it was going to be imploded, but for my money I loved the sportsbook more than any other in Las Vegas. That's just me. I'll miss it, but I'm sure the $4 billion hotel that will replace it will serve us well!! I'll probably spend a lot of time at Caesar's sportsbook this weekend. See ya there.

I got in to Vegas yesterday and had no idea this was going to happen. At around 330 am I woke to the explosions and had no idea what the heck was going on. There were numerous blasts and concussions. I ended up calling the front desk just to make sure, if you know what I mean.



The sportsbook at the Wynn is pretty nice too.

stardust was the first "big" sports book. they started an era. ceasars outdid that one and the rest is history.
