Yes, that was 2004, our inaugural year. Prizes were based on 300 teams and we finished with 195 teams. But the next year we sold out all 300 spots and we haven't looked back since. We have SOLD OUT the Main Event 13 straight years and it look like this season will be the 14th straight year of a sellout.
With Major League Baseball's new schedule of starting all 30 teams on Thursday, March 29th, we're seeing a changing of people's schedules too. We're still getting a good number of owners coming to the Live Events, but once again the majority of teams will be Online. And many teams will be drafting as close to the season openers as possible with Main Event Online leagues filling up on Monday, March 26th and Tuesday, March 27th.
Just a heads up that we are going to watch signups for those two dates and be pro-active if needed. We really would rather not have too many leagues on one date because we also will have a bunch of other Online Championship, Cutline and Satellite league drafts on those nights. So don't delay if you know you want to get in one of those later Main Event Online draft dates because we are definitely monitoring them. Both could be working on their fourth leagues soon, so don't delay.
Just a reminder that draft spots are released 5 days before the scheduled draft date of every Main Event, Super and Ultimate League, so set your KDS preferences in advance and be ready. KDS deadline is 8 am ET on the day of the KDS deadline. Thanks all and good luck.
