Las Vegas NCAA Viewing Party March 22nd, 4 pm PT

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Feb 25, 2018 3:29 pm

Okay, it's time to start planning the exciting Second Weekend in Las Vegas for our NFBC customers. Hopefully you are taking advantage of the full March Madness weekend out there and getting in on Thursday, March 22nd. If you weren't, then look at your travel plans again and come in early.

Once again the NFBC is hosting a Thursday Night NCAA Viewing Party at the beautiful Bellagio. I have reserved an Executive Penthouse Suite in the Spa Tower and everyone who is involved with drafts and auctions that weekend is invited. In fact, I've asked Charlie Wiegert to invite all of the CDM members who are out in Las Vegas that weekend to join us for that party. The entire family is welcome, so come on in!!!

This one is going to be unique because there are four NCAA games that night. Let's start the party at 4 pm PT. If you can come to the base of the Spa Towers by 4 pm PT I'll make sure we have someone downstairs to bring you up the elevators. We'll have someone down there between 4 and 5 to bring you upstairs, so just be patient and we'll get you if you come a little later. We are hosting a 5 pm Auction Championship League and two Main Event leagues at 6 pm at the Aria, so feel free to stop in, have a drink here first and we'll all take the Tram over to the Copperleaf Ballrooms at the Aria. Travelling with buddies is the way to go, right? 8-)

So here's the deal with the suite we have this year. Normally we get the one with the big boardroom, which is ideal for hosting drafts. But all of those were reserved this year, so the only suite available was the one we had a couple of years ago with the five TVs in the room with couch seating and a billiards table in the living room. I think I had trouble getting Shawn and Joe Martens out of there a few years ago, but it's a great setup. We'll have 6 different TVs, some drink and munchies and maybe more. We'll see. Come one, come all for a great kickoff party.

Like I said, we'll walk over to the Aria shortly after this one starts and get those drafts and auction started on time. Folks can hang out in the suite and get to know each other before the battles really begin that weekend. I even have the room on Friday if we happen to again get some random $350 Rotowire Online Championship Live drafts going. We can hold them in the ballroom or upstairs and hopefully we again get a Friday afternoon $750 OC Live sold out. But I'm keeping this room available for some morning or afternoon drafts in a cool, unique setting. If you know Shawn, he always walks around inbetween picks anyway, so now he can play a game of pool between high-dollar picks!!

That sets the table for the Kickoff ceremonies. No speeches, just drinks on us. See you there and look for more directions on how to find the Spa Tower. It's easy and you'll love the setup. Thanks all and safe travels.

Okay, there's nothing quite better than college hoops, a party with friends and a fantasy baseball draft with competitors!! We get all of that in one spot this weekend in Las Vegas.

In case you weren't watching college basketball these past four days, let me give you a tip: BET THE DOGS!!! The underdogs and the Under made folks a lot of money this weekend. What a wild, wild weekend of college hoops.

We kick off the Second Weekend in Las Vegas with a Welcome Reception in the Spa Tower Executive Penthouse Suite. I don't have the room number just yet, but meet down at the base of the Spa Tower elevators and we'll bring you upstairs. The Spa Tower is easy to find. Here's the directions:

If coming on the Tram, get off at the Bellagio, take the escalator downstairs, walk past the gift shop on the right and the elevators are about 10 yards past the gift shop.

If coming from the front entrance, walk toward the flower garden, stay on the walkway to the right and go about 400-500 yards until you see the sign for Elevators. That is the Spa Tower.

We have a unique party room this year with a big living room area that has a pool table, a room that has couches and five TVs and enough drink for everyone. Should be a ton of fun.

We can walk to the Aria together for the 5 pm Auction Championship and again for the 6 pm Main Event leagues. We just take the Tram, get off at the Aria exit, walk down the escalator, into the casino, follow the Convention Center sign, go up the escalator and then walk 200 yards to the Copperleaf Ballrooms. Easy enough and we'll lead the way.

This is a great way to meet other like-minded baseball nuts and to share some drinks and hoops bets. Everyone coming to Las Vegas on Second Weekend is welcome. Thanks and good luck.
