Wayne preparing to bring his own stockpile to NYC
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

And you would not believe where I have to hide the swizzle sticks!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Just a reminder that ALL are welcome to join us who will be in town next Friday night, March 16th who would like to take part in these post-draft festivities. If you want in, just let me know.
On another note, I hope to be making the media rounds in promotion of this event beginning next Monday the 12th. I'll let everyone know the who, what, when, and where as I find out. Or maybe not if Greg and Tom aren't interested in giving this thing the proper advance exploitation it deserves!

I’m no MTM, but I’ll be on greg and tom’s show tomm night around 10:21 est giving this and the entire wkd a shout-out. That includes you in the main event Sunday with some tout guys in that one as well. I expect you to bring in some hecklers that Tom will have to have removed for that draft with Liss and Sporer!
Btw put sporer as a tentative for the food on Friday. Forgot to ask him about it but I think he will be in.

Updated guest list above. Quite a motley crew! Looking forward to seeing everyone in just a couple days after I take down the MTM Ultimate title for 2018 when I crush this draft live on air for everyone to enjoy.

You'd place 2nd in a league where you're the only owner. I like seeing your name on the entry list....I know its a 14 team race from that point onward
You should probably go back to listening to Tout to flesh out your draft plan

It's finally upon us! It's now officially early morning on Christmas Day of the NFBC season. DRAFT DAY! And what better way to cap things off than the MTM Ultimate tonight in NYC!
The KDS balls are ready and packed along with this year's special league owners' jerseys which all the competitors will proudly don for the competition and the post-draft festivities. I have really gone all out this year on these as we haven't had an MTM league jersey since the league's inaugural season. The 2017 league champion ceremony will be held, and Joe Thelen will be crowned as the league's first time ever repeat champion.
Additionally, beginning this year and every year going forward, there will also be something special at the opening ceremonies for the last place finisher in this league who will be duly recognized and coronated as well.
The live draft coverage begins with the pre-game at 7:00 p.m. EST, but prior to this, I'll be in studio on The Fantasy Sports Network earlier in the day around 11:25 a.m.until noon when the show wraps up...or earlier if I'm escorted out by security prior to then.
Then it will be back to the "luxurious" Stewart Hotel to begin my draft prep for this year's draft, and I should be all set by 8:00 p.m.
Everyone joining us for the post-draft festivities, be sure to meet up with us just after the draft around midnight, and we will all head over to the District Tap House together to regale each other with our tales of live draft and auction brilliance.
Can't wait to see everyone there!

GREAT JOB EVERYONE in last night's New York MTM Ultimate League. It looks like SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio gave this league a lot of love before the live draft and obviously during the draft, featuring a lot of the owners in this league. There were some unique strategies in this league as well, which played well to a national audience. Really good exposure for this league, for our players and for the NFBC. Great job all.
And we apologize for the constant refreshing of the boards in New York and Chicago. We know it added time to the draft and auctions and was a pain in the ass. It's bullshit that won't happen again as we were forcing those picks through a jammed server. It was the only way to post those picks through an f'd up server.
Everything has been fixed overnight and tested and it won't be this way today for the live drafts and auctions. We know it was a pain in the ass and we apologize for the extra time it took, but today is going to be a smooth ride. Drinks on us in all three cities!!!
Again, fantastic showing last night with this league and the draft board was fun to watch from afar. I hope the after-draft party was even more fun and entertaining. Now let's get back to work and do it again today. Thanks all.

Just an FYI for anyone who walked to the Tap House after the draft...that was a brisk half mile. There are some interesting folks on 7th on the walk back. New York City has character
