Thanks to EVERYBODY In Las Vegas

Wow, just Wow.
What a great and wonderful time Las Vegas was for all of us drafters this year.
I had more fun than a 17 year old boy snowed in at a brothel.
Greg and Tom and Darik, you outdid yourselves.
I won't begin to put a name to all the folks that I had the pleasure to have met and had conversations with.
When talking with these folks, it is just awesome to see the common thread of baseball that runs through each and all of us.
Baseball the commonality, while each personality met was gold.
Every person I met and talked to exceeded all my expectations.
You guys really are something.
A special shout out to a few folks that made my weekend even more special....
Mike the Mouth knows how to throw a damn party!
That place was abuzz with people just damned high on baseball.
Even the folks there that didn't know much about baseball were great characters.
Dustin, the musclely guy was a treat.
Mikey's wife, an older version of Jennifer Aniston was awesome.
Everybody at that party was having a great time both giving and taking shit from each other.
Just a wonderful experience.
When tech dropped the ball for the draft at the party, it was so apropos that the jokes really started flying.
I was hard on Tom, but I knew at the time that Tom would be joining the Hall of Fame the next day, so barbs were in order.
I still don't know what is funnier, us drafters criticizing NFBC tech or Greg/Tom defending NFBC tech
Anyway, Mikey puts on this party and spares little expense.
He has large muscles, but the largest beats in his chest.
Mikey, you're one of the best.
I also want to thank Roger Martin and his lovely wife.
A relationship was spawned during the Mia draft that I hope will be a lifelong relationship.
Rog, thanks and it is always great seeing and hearing from you.
Scott, Chad, and John...That dinner was awesome.
Not the dinner, the talk.
You guys are just too good and I can talk baseball forever with you guys.
Just to let everybody in on a part of our conversation...
I was letting Scott, Chad, and John know about the dangers of drafting outfielders who don't know how to play well with outfield walls.
Emphasizing that Ichiro and now Mike Trout have become masters of not crashing into fences while outfielders like Kevin Kiermaier still think of fences as made of marshmallow.
Five minutes later, a young lady walking to her table struck her knee on the back of my chair and limped to her chair.
I allowed that she, also, would have trouble with fences.
It was just a fun time.
Unfortunately (or fortunately), my wife and daughter were there and cut our dinner 'short' at three hours
The Las Vegas experience is alive and well.
Seriously, I feel sorry for all those drafters who do NOT go to the NFBC live events.
There are no better people, and better, no finer BASEBALL PEOPLE to meet.
If on the fence and/or putting off going to an NFBC live event, just go.
You will keep coming back every year.
