Post by Deadheadz » Thu Mar 29, 2018 5:21 pm

BOLD Predictions

The first pitch of the season was hit for a home run by Chicago Cubs Ian Happ.
The final pitch of the season will be hit for a walkoff home run in the World Series by Ian Happ.

Your turn...

Not bad, but at what point in the season will the Cubs trade Happ to the Braves? :D
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Lol, I think they’ll send him to ATL right after Teheran throws a complete game winner @ Wrigley. Straight up swap. Cubs need the pitching.

John Sterling changes his "cool" catch phrase for when Stanton hits a homerun.

National broadcasters continue their vendetta against all things remotely analytic based and actively go out of their way to criticize anything other than good ol' boy baseball thinkin'

Leafs win the Stanley cup behind Austin Matthews 17 goals

Sixers take the Warriors to 5 games before bowing out as Simmons and Embiid assert themselves both as top 10 talents - KD wins finals MVP again

Baseball continues to be a 3 outcomes sport and still is great, but is diminished by shifts, launch angles and fewer balls in play and will result in a record being set for longest stretch without a ball in play (im not googling to see what that is but consider it broken)

Some players will make me really happy. Some will totally piss me off. Half the managers in the league will enrage me.

That is about as bold as a bowl of corn flakes, no fruit.

Gabe Kapler is not getting the job done..... Phillies made a huge mistake not keeping Pete McKannon....
Great move in game 1 - pull Nola out of game with a 5-0 lead and only having thrown 68 pitches -- Phillies lost
