Hitters with no Friday game already locked

I should be able to move hitters who didn’t have a game yesterday in/out of lineup up until game time today, right?

They all lock on Friday. I don't think they should but they do.

Well, that’s unfortunate. Seems like a pretty fundamental feature that should definitely have been correct to start the season.

I may be wrong but i think they always did on friday.

It hasn’t “always” been this way — this is the first time I can recall that ANY team has had a scheduled day off on Friday. The Monday/Tuesday logic doesn’t apply to Friday/Saturday. It should be spelled out more clearly in the rules.
Next Friday is the same thing. Be prepared.
